City have joined Everton, Celtic, Stoke City, Tottenham and Crystal Palace in showing interest in 33-year-old Dusko Tosic, it is reported. Turkish media outlet Haberturk have reported that Besiktas president Fikret Orman has travelled to England, and will hold talks with Everton and City over the defender. If the reports are accurate, Orman must be building up his air miles as he was also reported to be in England last week discussing a possible deal with City to buy Islam Slimani. It was reported, although never confirmed, that the Besiktas president was at City’s midweek FA Cup replay against Fleetwood to watch Slimani and hold talks. Besiktas are apparently ready to let Tosic leave for around £3.5million, however, it seems unlikely City would want to sign another centre-half, particularly one in his 30s. Captain Wes Morgan is still out injured, but Robert Huth is now close to returning to full fitness – and both those players are also in their 30s.
