He's definitely up there with some of my favourite players/captains of the last 25 years.

There must be a way he carries himself inside the club as he seems to have respect from the players. Never a Roy Keane type, but imposing non-the-less . . . Especially with Huth next to him too!

Best we've had. Continuosly proves people wrong and he's an absolute man mountain. Always puts his body on the line and while not the most vocal skipper, he certainly leads by example.

Will miss the big man when he's gone. But he can retire knowing he'll always be a hero at this club. Hopefully he's got another year or two in him yet.

I've been very critical of big Wes in the past. Didn't we have a 'Morgan on his arse' thread a while back?

His control and passing still leave a lot to be desired and he's not a naturally gifted footballer but what he does well, he's one of the very best at. Strong as an Ox, put's his body on the line, works his nuts off and leads by example.

I hereby aplogise for my previous criticism and duly acknowledge him as a Leicester great and one of our best ever captains.

It took me a while to get over the Forest thing but we're incredibly lucky to have him.

What an amazing piece of business he's turned out to be. Leicester legend without a shadow of a doubt...

'Calamity Morgan' I think it was.

No doubt he's a legend.

He’s been on the whole phenomenal for us, I fear for his position long term now however, Father Time and all.

Should drop down to a lower league team like Forest for example lol

He's had a great first half of the season tbh. I wanted him out after last season but he proved me dead wrong. That said, he's 34 and I'd push for Dragovic on the long term.

Can't help but feel he is done at this level now. But yes undoubtedly a historic figure at this club.

Premature this, he was having an excellent season until he got injured.

I agree he may well have lost his starting place to Dragovic, who would represent a more progressive choice and who is playing very well with Maguire, but he's improved this season and I think if he's 100% fit and we're not using him other Premier League teams would come in for him.

To answer the original question, he's been the best captain we've ever had, put in unbelievable performances and achieved incredible things. He comes across as a total gent.

In decades to come he one of the players we will talk about as a great servant to Leicester and he will always remember and give interview's about the title winning year and how it changed his life.

Lifted two league titles in 6 years and one of those was the actual Premier League title. Anyone who says he isn't a legend is clinically insane.

In fact, he's the best captain we've ever had in my opinion. And I grew up with Steve Walsh as my Captain.

There's only one Captain Morgan.

Great picture!! Still can’t believe we won it !!

Morgan, sliding in slow motion, celebrating a goal, in the advert for Sky TV last year, was one of the great, lasting joys of being Champions.

Remember hearing a podcast with akinfenwa, he said wes was the strongest defender he had come up against, the blokes a machine, will be a sad day when he leaves

His goals in the title winning season against Southampton and Man Utd will always be remembered as massive for me, and both came at a time when the pressure was really on as Tottenham were not as yet in full on bottle mode.

And regardless of talent, any captain that gets dragged around Vard's kitchen by his ankles whilst banging into a dog basket is an automatic legend!!!

Wesley Morgan is a blue......
