So you spend all season telling us how shit Ulloa, Musa and Slimani are and when they are loaned out (not even sold) you worry that we don't have enough. If they're shit it doesn't matter - best that they are gone.

Spot on.

Last ditch Andy Carroll bid incoming...

We play one up front so we are fine with Vardy, Nacho and Shinji, plus Gray who can play that role as emergency. Think we are fine in midfield too, the new French lad or Silva can take Mahrez place if he goes. Wouldn't be surprised to see Ben Arfa come in though, or someone similarly creative.

I think it's a good move.  We get a loan fee, so pull some money in for a reserve player who isn't in the manager's plans.

Then, if he can score some goals and have a good end to the season, we've got a better chance of getting a decent transfer fee in the summer.

I appreciate it leaves us short up front in the event of an injury to Vardy or Iheanacho, but that's a chance we have to take if we want to recoup the transfer fee for him and rebuild in the summer.

I would have held onto slimani over ulloa and musa.granted we needed to clear out at least 2 but 3 all at once looks a bit ludicrous.

Slim has been relatively disappointing but was the most effective of the 2016 signings.

Those signings looks to have had bad luck with us in the same way as this players who starred in Nike ads went on to have bad world cups.

Can see your point but still reckon this team can really go places:

                          Schmiecel

Simpson   Dragovich   Maguire   Chilwell

                Ndidi     Iborra     Silva

Albrighton                                         Gray

                               Vardy

Bags of potential there with the right input from Puel/Atherton.

And not bad back-ups:

Japukovic /Hamer

Amartey

Huth

Morgan

Fuchs

Diabate

James

King

Barnes

Okazaki

Iheanacho.

+ youngsters.

SOUND!  NO PROBS!

Shame... I saw something in him, but his move was never going to work, he wasn't accepted by at least 50% of the fanbase.

Hope he goes on and gets a bag full of goals for Newcastle, then we can either give him a second crack at the whip or get a decent return on him.

Am a little concerned we do not have a forward who can head the ball now he's gone. I can not see Diabiate, Vardy, Shinji or El Nacho getting on the end of many of Marks crosses that's for sure.

He's made improvements this season, he was good in Pre Season, he was good in the League Cup and the last league game he played he destroyed Huddersfield. Five goals in seven starts this season.

Letting him go baffles me, we've already let Ulloa go, now we have no target man and no plan B.

Don't see why we are loaning everyone out!!!

If Vardy gets injured then we're down to just Iheanacho as Puel wont play Shinji as a lone striker.

Surely a forward has to come in?

We'll be bringing someone up from the U23s, IMO.

With the state that club is in at the moment, particularly the off-field issue with Ashley making it uncertain times up there, Slimani would be under a lot of pressure to produce - something that may prove difficult, especially if he struggles to settle in that area.

I think he'll smash it up there for them. Proper old fashioned number 9 - send in the crosses and he'll get the goals.

With the system Puel plays we don't need him, provided we still have Mahrez and he's not in his sulking mode. I rate Slimani but it was a mistake to sign him. He was supposed to play up top with JV but Shinji has proved time and time he's better for that role. He could play up front on his own as a single target man, but we've done that at best on a handful of occasions and he's not as good as Vardy as doing it. If we are in Europe next year he could be a good addition but he's not getting game time at the moment and we are picking up the points.

Sensible move all round.

We have 14 PL games and a cup run left.

It's very unlikely that both Vardy and Iheanacho will be out at the same time. Even if that was Okazaki has played most of his career as a No9 and Diabate can play there as well if need be. We have absolutely nothing to worry about as far as our No9 goes.

Unsurprinsingly the bloke in front in the story is his agent.

Actually only need two PL wins and CP can then have the longest pre-season in club history to blood a few young 'ens.
