Yes, it's another Mahrez thread.

Just wondering though what we all think...if he comes back into the fold, would you welcome it? We certainly miss his creativity.

Or should we be moving on now and playing players who will be here next season?

If he wants to then sure. If not then I hope he doesn't play a minute of football for a two and a half years.

*we don't need him,*

*he couldn't have won us the game today.*

*i would rather we finish bottom half than challenge for europe.*

*we are good without him*

this is how those people sound like

the moment that big child gets over himself and starts acting like a professional and you sensitive muppets get over yourselves, we will start winning games again

Need the option of yes he’s committed until the season end, if he’s half hearted then no, if he’s over it and committed get the mardy ****er in.

As I said In another thread **** Mahrez. He doesn't want to be here. In the summer he is destined to leave no matter what. For the remaining 12 games give game time to Diabate or another player who actually wants to be here next season let them gain some invaluable experience.

As for him apologising he can stick his apology where the sun dont shine. It won't be meaningful & come the summer we'll have this same shitty situation again.

You can forgive him once for going walkabouts & pushing for a move away but twice is unforgivable.

If he's prepared to turn up and apologise to his teammates and manager, then get on the pitch and apologise to the fans by putting in committed shifts then yes. If he doesn't then **** him, let his career swing.

The way the options are worded puts me off from voting.

For me, it’d be a simple ‘yes’ because like it or not, he’s still part of the squad.

And on the whole situation - I think Mahrez has been put in an unfortunate position, mainly by Man City’s actions if what I understand to be the case has transpired.

It seems Man City made enquiries, Mahrez showed his hand in terms of being interested in the move (who honestly wouldn’t in his position?), only for Man City to then back away from negotiations with Leicester on a rumoured £80 million deal (£95 involved Roberts I understand).

It’s not as if he’s kept it a secret that he’s wanted to move... and given his level of talent, I can understand that he wants to test himself at a consistently higher level, as soon as possible - so I’m not too sure why some of our fans are giving barrel loads of abuse in his direction.

Look at things on balance and he’s been put in a whirlwind of a situation that is going to have left him deflated. The club would do well in backing him and giving him an easier way back into the fold by publicy criticising Man City’s transfer tactics and confirming they have given Mahrez some leave accordingly.

Yes. No point keeping him if we're going to put him in the reserves.

Not bothered about a public apology or justification, he needs to talk with the manager about the situation and then we can get on with it.

Definitely, if he can sort his head out and knuckle down until the end of the season. We get our best player back, he gets back to his football and plays his way to a big move in the summer. Nobody gains anything from keeping him on the sidelines.

The club is bigger than Mahrez. It's a pity that he hasn't learned that there is more to life than money and glory. Loyalty to your teamates, the fans that spend thousands of pounds and have travelled all over Europe and beyond obviously doesn't mean anything to him.Great footballer he may be but as a human being he seems to be lacking somewhere.

I love him as a player and he’s probably the finest Leicester player i’ve Seen in nearly 30 years of following us. That said his appalling acknowledgment of the fans, who sang his name as he warmed up at Peterborough, was an insight in to his world and it came as no surprise the events that unfolded on Tuesday & Wednesday.

For me, as much as I love the player, he does not deserve to wear our shirt again. The last 2 games have been a bit of ansight to a world post Mahrez, which we need to plan and adapt to. I would love to be wrong but he goes begging every time a bigger club knocks, which I personally find embarrassing.

Yeah I do.

We actually don't know what has gone on.

I just want to to see him doing his stuff again in our shirt, he's Mahrez ffs.

He's the guy who wanders past world class defenders, the guy who laughs at a Man U defence while he slips in Vardy to score, puts the ball through legs of people while we laugh, controls the ball from 60 yards in the air, drops it on his heel, sends Chelsea defenders into a Strictly routine while he scores and I've not even mentioned that drag he used to do which he'll whip out in the FA Cup final.

All artists are bastards, Van Gogh sliced his ear, Picasso refused to budge until his brother died, this is what they do.

If you don't want to fall in love with an artist then don't fall in love with guys like him, the man is a genius. Just watch that goal against Man City. He's our Michaelangelo and I can't do anything but love him.
