It's a no for me, I like Albrighton but I don't think he'd add much. It's not like the wide attackers in the squad are playing poorly. Sterling and Lingard have impressed.

to be fair to Marc, crossing isn't the only thing he can be attributed for. Yes he can whip in a great one, but the rest of his game is totally underrated. He's a constant tryer and will always be the one to give 100% to the team, defensively or in attacks.

but on the other hand, having him in the England side would be useless. If you look at the last 2 friendlies, it's not how England will shape up to play. Southgate doesn't seem to be the one to play the tactic of get it out wide and get crosses is in for the tall striker up front. England are all about pace now and play with 1 striker with inside forwards (Vardy/Kane and Sterling/Lingard/Rashford either side).

Albrighton would be wasted in that side and a waste of a spot. It'd be fantastic to see another Leicester player in the side but I can't see it happening at all, definitely not this summer anyway. If Southgate had any inclination to consider Albrighton, he would have been selected in the squad for the 2 recent games (not necessarily playing).

I think it's wonderful that someone from a national paper is talking up Albrighton. Personally I like ashley young as the WB but Marc could have played the position just as well. Maybe then Vardy would get more decent passes.

He might not 'suit' the current set up like others are saying but he'd offer some different qualities and his commitment can't ever be questioned. I'm not saying he should be a starter but he's more than earned a call up to be given the chance to show what he can do in the squad.

He should have been capped by now though don’t feel his current form warrants a place. He’s been quite inconsistent this season.

In the title winning year and when Shakespeare came in, he was on it. I felt after the Sevilla game he’d get capped.

Not on current form.

He was sensational when we were reinvigorated last year and during our title win.

He should definitely have been capped. I don't think he's at his best currently though.

Tbh, if he played for anyone else, I'd probably kick off if he was included.

Solid player, reliable, moments of quality, but probably not up to England standards at the moment. Plus doesn't quite suit the more possession-based/conservative style that they play.

I think one of the first sentences sums it up.....

"Jack Cork, Harry Winks, Nathaniel Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Lewis Cook" have all been called up.  Maybe he shouldn't be a starter, maybe he doesn't fit the system but honestly, based on the last few seasons it is a travesty that he has not even been given one chance.

But they've all been called up to fill a position where we lack any other players.

We don't really have that same problem on the wing.

Completely see your point but he really does deserve a chance, or at least did at some point over the last three seasons.  He just sums up everything good about the game.  X

I’d England played 3 at the back & one of the 3 will be Walker, then u have to consider the contenders for the right hand side. If Trippier gets injured, we’d probably shift Walker over & use a mix of CB’s that won’t have had much game time together. I do think Marc deserves at least a shot at being that cover man. Mr consistency, work horse & some moments of brilliance. Shame he is so overlooked but I don’t see management changing their minds

He should of been tried for England long before now! It is pointless talking him up now when there is only a few months before the World Cup. He won't get in the squad now.
