England. It's about time.

Lots of young talent. One of the best strikers in the world.

Need to sort out the goalkeeper situation though but silly not having a clue who no1 will be this close in.

18/1 Looks a big price. There seems to be much less hype and pressure on this group.

Cannot see past Brazil. Excellently managed under Tite nowadays, though he doesn't play Firmino which is strange.

As an outside bet I'd go for Croatia.

Since next season has a thread already. Thought I'd make the world cup one.

Who do you all fancy? Personally I think Belgium, if they can stop under achieving.

Got to be Germany again for me.

Them or Brazil.

Nope we won't this time but we'll still make it to the last 4, I suppose. Spain and Brazil are my favourites.

Spain will shithouse it to the finals without a striker playing some 3-7-0 formation and boring everyone to 1-0 wins where they'll meet the only player in the tournament who can actually get the ball off them.

Wilf will spend the whole game dispossessing Iniesta who'll get so ****ed off with it that he'll rage quit, smash it top bins into his own net and walk off in a strop.

Musa will do his thing of looking half decent at a major tournament and set up Kelechi for a goal to seal it in added on time as Spain overload the Nigeria box to try and get back in it - by bringing on one lone striker.

We'll then sell Musa to Madrid for £45m where he'll go back to being garbage and get loaned to CSKA for the umpteenth time where they'll be pissing themselves at all the sell on fees they're raking in.

You obviously haven't watched Brazil if you don't think they are much better than 4 years ago. They are significantly better than they were 4 years ago and have brought back their classic style of play and added better defensive quality. I would go out and say that they are better than the Germans.

I also think a lot of Europeans overrate the Germans because of their World Cup win and the Confed Cup win. You are talking about a team that almost lost to Ghana and Algeria last World Cup. They aren't infallible.

I'd say that both played very well and I found the match against Algeria to be the most difficult and nerve wracking of the WC, but ultimately we did win and they were out. That's the only thing that counts.

I don't think that we'll win this time. I personally don't find this team as solid at the back as in 2014.

Brazil is clearly a favourite, anyone betting on Russia is deluded, because even with public and the referee support and unless they poison all their opponents there is just no way they make it past the last 16. Their 2018 team is one of the weakest I've ever seen.

The real unit, the team that impressed most is Spain.

Brazil haven't won a world cup in Europe since 1958 and I can't see that changing just yet. England will probably go out relatively early but all depends on if Summer or Winter Harry Kane turns up. This isn't an optimistic prediction but there will definitely be a team that bores everyone to reach the finals and my money is on Portugal to do a Holland/Italy. Germany will probably win it too.

David Seaman reckons Joe Hart should be England #1.

Ahead of Pickford and Butland because he has experience of the pressure. They don't and highlighted Scott Carson mistake Vs Croatia in the past as an example.

All that experience Seaman gained when Nayim made him look foolish in the 1995 CWC certainly came in handy in the 2002 WC when Ronaldinho, er, also made him look foolish.

Man City.................. Cos according to all the pundits on the box they'll win everything for next 10 years

Germans or France might give them a game though
