There aren't many games where you can put the whole thing on the officials but that's one of them for me. An absolute utter disgrace in every sense. Cardiff have been completely shafted there, no doubt about it.

How anyone can be anti VAR is beyond me.

I've spent the afternoon watching Racing Toulouse in the Champions Cup and its been one of the most exciting, intense, brilliant games of any sport I've seen in years.

It's had several very key decisions made calmly, patiently and competently with smart use of the TMO. Those most significant of which was a red card that the ref missed live.

Post-match comments.  Don't think I need to Identify the manager ...

"It's difficult because I am really flat. I am so proud of my players. To get let down by the officials... roll on VAR.
"We worked three weeks for this but to get let down by decisions... no major decisions went for us.
"They don't realise what is at stake. If I was a Burnley or a Brighton fan, they will be absolutely loving it today.
"It's not our fault an official can't see that, it is the most obvious offside I have ever seen or the most certain penalty I have ever seen.
"What goes through my mind? Is it payback time for me over the years?
"It's the best league in the world but the worst officials. They don't understand what is at stake. They shouldn't make mistakes at this level.
"Why am I working at 70 years of age for things like that to happen? It's not very often I am lost for words.
"My players feel like they have been kicked in the teeth. We've been kicked so many times. I don't deserve officials like that today. There is no excuse for that, it's criminal.
"if my players feel like they look in the dressing room, that's the end of our season. But how many times have we bounced back this season?"

Because it takes absolutely ages.

Football in this country is famed for being played at a million miles an hour.

I don't mind the idea of VAR and i've liked it in the Champions League and the World Cup where i've been sat on my arse at home, but whenever i've been at a game with it being used it's been rubbish. Slows games down and kills atmospheres.

If they speed up decision making, which i think will come with time, and enable the decision to be seen and viewed in the ground by the fans I think it could be a lot more successful.
