Corky Posted 31 March 2019 Posted 31 March 2019 As bad as Carragher was, imagine if it had been McManaman commentating? Get these biased commentators away from these games. Neutrals only from now on. I doubt they'd put Luther Blissett if Watford were playing or Steve Bull with Wolves.

Even Man Utd in their peak didn't get bummed this much. Why are there so many ex Liverpool players as pundits? Why do Liverpool get an easier ride than Chelsea or Arsena in the pressl? So many questions. Because they have a tradition of winning something European,on a regular basis...And they are an happy and miserable cross bunch of people. I loved when the 2 Jamies C & R,laughed sardonically when asked in the middle of that season!!! Can Leicester keep it going and win the title... When we did win both have us some excellent plaudits, and cover admitting their suprise... If I take my 65+ years, they remained consistently the team to beat, more than Manutd. Since their promotion, say back then, they have faltered but never collapsed, or even faced relegation...Their fans can annoy,or be humerous,I never met one single L'pool fan who begrudge our title win,nor when we beat them on some Surprising games....They have a better knowledge and thought on football, they have some morons, but well less than most teams of the South..!! Their Plastics, around the world generally know their stuff, and don't change their allegances....Of real top teams,IMO they have the better fans, their ex-player Pundits, are bias pool fans, but will not hold back on criticising. Souness, I like him,I don't always agree with him,Lawro and the 2 Jamie's C &R , are ex players, Pundits, alike all I listen to,and never hear what I want... Pundits are just like the fans on all forums...opinions,and perspectives a melting-lot of thoughts, not worth getting on any high horse... They are no better or worse..."than any of you,who ever you are"....They are part of that entertainment Football. Why try and make a point that must be Derrogative, towards anybody doing only the same as all people in / out of football...!!! And seriously mean it..!!

And are massively delusional twats. I'd honestly rather Tottenham win the league than Liverpool. It's not like Liverpool haven't spent either, they spent more on VVD than Man City have ever paid for a player. Yes City can afford incredible strength in depth but its not like they've gone and bought Neymar or Dybala or Mbappe or whatever. They intelligently buy promising youngish players and build them up. What Guardiola has built there is genuinely phenomenal, they play incredible football and he does it with a hell of a lot more modesty and a lot less moaning than Klopp (and I say that as someone that quite likes JK.) I know the wealth they have is disgusting but I do find it genuinely difficult to dislike Man City. You can't help having the money, would we be any different if Top and Vichai had had two or three times their wealth? Idk.

ScouseFox Posted 31 March 2019 Posted 31 March 2019 it’s absolutely classic liverpool, that. they’ve barely played a good half of football all season and they’re going to deny the best team to ever play the game the quadruple. gimps.

Jonezy Posted 31 March 2019 Posted 31 March 2019 Are Liverpool really finally gonna do it? They do look destined with last minute goals like today and against Everton combined with the Guardiola decision to make Mahrez take that late pen at Anfield. Most Liverpool fans here in Denmark are sound. They are often old school, supporting since the glory days of the 80s, so they have learned to be humble with Man Utd dominating the 90s and 00s. I really really enjoy telling them about how Leicester have won the Premier League and they have not though, so Man City still has my support in this race. If Liverpool do make it, I kind I hope it happens because we do not let Man City win at the Etihad just like Chelsea did for us.

Wouldnt it be something if they tied man city on points and lost on GD like united did.

Corky Posted 31 March 2019 Posted 31 March 2019 There was a Liverpool fan on 606 who said he was 29 and obviously hadn't seen his team win the title. A massive club with a huge trophy winning past and yet, at a few months older than me, I'd seen something he hadn't. They've ached for it for nearly three decades yet we win it when nobody even it considered it part of the equation when following this club. Wow.

Remember when we won it on 81pts and people said we were lucky etc. Liverpool sit on 79pts already. So you can’t say that’s lucky. You would be gutted if you got 90 odd pts and lost it. You would also not be a bottler as some wrongly point out.

shailen Posted 31 March 2019 Posted 31 March 2019 Although I can't bear Liverpool fans, I'd rather they won it than Man City. It's not even the money thing as all clubs have to invest to grow but it's almost like they have spent beyond their means and have somehow not been harshly dealt with by FFP. To me they are the BT Sport of football - just excessive in everything they do.
Stadt Posted 31 March 2019 Posted 31 March 2019 It’s mental that Man City are a club that bought modern success, are the epitome of modern football in a lot of ways and are bankrolled by a regime with a very dubious human rights record. Yet they’re still massively preferable to Liverpool.
