you lose a loyalty bonus if you put a transfer request in it does not matter if you withdraw it because that's breaking the condition of a loyalty bonus putting one in, in the first place.

So he lost that last year anyway.

If Mahrez gets a loyalty bonus then I dont know what Vardy should get...  loyalty daily blow and rim job?

he is worth 60m all day long, would be an even better player for a club like Man City and the space he will have, would be class if we could keep him for one more season but highly unlikely.

Please no this has to be resolved now for the best interests of mahrez and city time to end this saga which is becoming tedious .

If and big if that is the case buddy then fair enough

he wouldn’t deserve it anyway. Great player but he hasn’t covered himself in glory how he has acted regarding all this

anyway hope he gets his move and we get proper money for him to reinvest

Without Roberts included in the deal it feels like we’re getting ripped off.

£75m is far better than £50m plus Roberts.

Oh i didn’t realise it’s 75m, that’s probably fair tbh. That price is including add-ons I’m guessing?

Yeah £60m up front with £15m in add-ons, presumably for appearances, PL title wins (probable) and CL wins (possible). I'd guess we will get at least £70m in the end, which isn't too bad.

How was the iheanacho deal structured? I know there was a buy back clause but i imagine we can use this deal to wipe any future payments.

Deals are subjective against players and agents, not between club and club. One deal rarely (if ever) has any bearing on another.

I'd be very disappointed if we agree to include an add on for CL success. Whilst City are a good side, I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that they'll ever win the CL. The European super powers are equally as good and we've seen many PL teams go out in the group stages or the early rounds of the knockout phase over the year's. We could be really screwing ourselves over if we're not careful.

Let's not kid ourselves Man City have the money so they need to stop messing us around and stump up the cash if they genuinely want Mahrez, otherwise they can buy a lesser player who fits their budget.

Iheanacho's deal will not and never will have a bearing on another players transfer between either club. There's no way this deal can be used to wipe other future payments lol

Why is that funny Stan?

Would it not be possible to have something like 60m for Mahrez and the buy back clause for Iheanacho revoked?

Not having a go, genuinely curious.

Agreed, the buy back clause is surely set by the club, they could have a counter agreement to never act on the previous clause

Hazard 33 goals 19 assists 7595 mins

Mahrez 35 goals 27 assists 8810 mins

Works out Mahrez has played an extra 13 and half games of football time wise

And in those 13.5 extra games Mahrez scored 2 goals and assisted 8 goals. The sort of stats that Ozil would get in a good season.

All whilst playing with inferior players in a side that had low possession stats and playing RM in a 4-4-2 with defensive responsibilities.

Hazard plays as a false 9 in a high possession team with better players and is rated at £150m. You would think statistically he should be blowing Mahrez away with all those advantages but he doesn't.

I’d rather we sold him to Roma for 50m than Man City for 75.

As for Shaqiri, after what he said about his fellow Stoke teammates being shit (even though he was right) I wouldn’t want him either.

Not a chance.

Man City are not our competition. I'd rather have the extra £25m.
