urban.spaceman Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 We could be about to receive one of the top 10 transfer fees in world football history. At an 18,500% profit. Which is double what our football club was bought for 8 years ago. What a time to be alive. 3
richardsfoxes Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 75M apparently, going to miss that boy, great great player.
Popular Post RODNEY FERNIO Posted 26 May 2018 Popular Post Posted 26 May 2018 If as reported we get £75 million I think it's a decent deal. He'll soon be 28 and that's a lot of money for a player of his age. I get the irreplaceable bit but if he is itching to move to a big club then let him have a go. At least we get a fair price and don't have our pants pulled down like we did with Kante. Personally I'll be intrigued to see how he gets on at Citeh under Pep's tutelage ... think they'll be surprised at just how good he is. 6

Think they’ll be surprised at the 85 mins a game he manages to disappear for as well. 1 1
Spudulike Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 Roma have just been on the phone. They have upped their offer to £35m. 2 2
FoxyPalace.com Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 Queue the Riyad Twitter Email bull shit, LCFC will always be in my heart, we have achieved great things codswallop but now I am fooking off to a oil rich club which only 10 years ago struggled to finish midtable. Sick of the saga now, he has no respect for us. Good player but he has taken the piss way to many times. Bon Voyage X
Koke Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 £75m is a good deal. His 12 goals + 10 assists will be difficult to replace but we move on. 1
st albans fox Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 75 m we already know this was mooted to be 60m up front and 15m fairly achievable add ons will be interesting to see how the deal is announced 1

Not if we manage to bring in another talented right midfielder (like Elyounossi) and other players (read: midfielders) finally starting to step up and adding more goals and assists to the mix themselves. We need a more *cough* attacking style of play for that to come to fruition, though.... 1

Fox92 Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 Can't see us replacing him. He's in double figures for goals and assists, that's massive.

Thanks Riyad for all the moments ......... going to be a bloody tough job to replace you even 50%!
Foxxed Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 Not unhappy with 75 million. We're never going to replace him. If the entire squad improves we may approach his contribution. And a contribution like his, we'll likely never see again. He was instrumental and iconic in this club's greatest ever achievement. I don't care he threw a mardy: we lifted that trophy thanks to him. And it's kind of fitting to go to Man City: one of my favorite memories is watching him effortlessly tear apart Man City in 15/16. Good luck and thanks! 3

We relied too much on him. He's not replaceable as a single player, but if we spend well, we can be a much better team than we were with him and the assists and goals can be spread out more.
SheppyFox Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 Individually he won’t be easy to replace but that’s because he’s been carrying us creatively. Fix the team with the right players and play as we should and we won’t miss him half as much as people think

Then we can exploit possession at home by stretching the game both sides and getting in behind defences. 2

Puel's going to get our full back's contributing a lot more, certainly. And with as new centre half more plays should be created from central defence. But we still have no creative outlet in central midfield unless you put a lot of faith in Barnes. And I'm not sure Gray and Diabate are going to become twice the players they are currently. Vardy is in danger of isolation.
manders86 Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 I never seem to take it well when a star player leaves us.. (remember being 15 and being almost in tears when Heskey went). It is the right time for Mahrez to go now and it should be with our best wishes. 75m is a fair asking price in today's market and citeh are getting a relative bargain. The man has bought untold and unforeseen joy to all of us despite our frustrations with him at different times. I would question the reality of anyone that has bitterness towards him now. It's a good deal all round
The Guvnor Posted 26 May 2018 Posted 26 May 2018 He doesn't really want to be here, if you knew he was going to put in 100% for every one of his remaining games with us then In the present market that would only be an opening bid worthy of his talent, but his hunger for playing for us has sadly gone, so with regret it's time for him to go.

Only a rough guess ofcourse including the Mahrez fee to address the problem & reshape the squad definitely agree with you it’s got to be fixed Edited 26 May 2018 by SheppyFox 2
