Let's hope if he rocks up with Man city next season someone smashes him into the stands.

My stomach's already knotting in the knowledge that there'll be a picture of Riyad in a Man City kit soon. It's horrific. Inevitable but horrific. Possibly our greatest ever player.

How many years you been watching us.football don't just count in the premier league's time.most gifted maybe or maybe not. Greatness I would apply more angles to it than being gifted. How about loyalty giving 100% and fighting for your team please don't confuse greatness with ability there are far more factors in deciding our greatest ever player

lol

Except for the fact that you didn't. You make it sound as if Algeria were the better team or leading at some stage.

Germany had the better and more chances - Algeria was good enough for one half, then faded quickly. And you were 2-0 down in extra time, 1-0 down after 92 minutes.

And Riyad didn't even play during those 120 minutes...

Yes he did. He started the first group game against Belgium.

Seems a deal is close.

So good luck Mahrez. It's been a pleasure to have seen you in a Leicester shirt achieving the impossible title win, QF in the champs league, etc.

I don't get how there can be any ill will. I hope he shows how good we know him to be at Man City.

Not even close, mate. He's not even our greatest current player, IMO.

He's wonderfully gifted, sublimely skilful and - on his day - is unplayable, but as @Markyblue says, there is more to greatness than that.

I'll eventually get over it, same way I eventually got over it when we sold Maxi Gradel. :dunno:

My hope is that we can resolve the situation quickly.

Either he commits fully to the club and honors his contract for one more year or we see him leaving in the next two weeks - it's got to be done before the World Cup.

This one just doesn't hurt like it probably should. I think I accepted about February time we'd lost him. The hurt has already been done. This time I just want it to happen. I'm convinced now it is not in our interests to keep Mahrez.

Removing his transfer request in time for the new bid reveals what type of person he is. Not this humble, shy guy who happens to be good - another money grasping asshole.

This isn't career progression. This is a cash grab. Good riddance to him. He's talented, oh yes, but he's also disloyal and greedy.
