How about Appleton to be permanent boss? A dark horse?

I think most, if not all of us, now would like to see Appleton take the job until the end of season but would he be such a bad option next season? He knows the players really well and would get the best out of them and play a system that would be different but suit them I think. Unlike Shakespeare he is manager material as well with a good amount of experience under his belt, albeit not at Premier League level.

When a manager gets sacked at another club the whole management team goes, we always seem to keep them and in the 3 examples i've given, we give them the job.

No. This is a chance to break the cycle. We need a full revamp of the club at the minute though. We seem to be rotten and if we carry on I can see us going down next season

Assistant manager to Manager doesn't normally work but in appleton's case he's got managerial experience and he hasn't been here that long. That said I don't think the owners will want to take that chance after Shakespeare.
