Fully deserved. Best goal by a mile. His goal against Spurs should also have made the shortlist but no way would they put Vardy in twice. I'm surprised salah made top 3. Didn't think his goal was that good to be fair

It’s all about fan base size (unless it’s genuinely amazing goal).

Come on let’s be honest it was basically the best goal but we’re all surprised he actually won due to the huge amount of prawn sandwich brigade and media love in for other teams

Deserved. Reminded me of that Van Persie goal against Villa. Absolutely world class technique and a superb celebration to boot.

The technique involved is unreal, people who disagree with it (there is a lot on social media) should have a go at recreating it! its a 1 in a 1000 goal.

 

Vardy for me is getting better and better - he still has a few seasons in him if you ask me!

Didn't think he'd win it because it's usually a popularity contest- glad the top 3 then get chosen by the panel, or Salah would have won it.

 

Is the MOTD goal of the season generally the most prestigious one, or do the Premier League award their own?
