MC Prussian Posted 18 June 2018 Author Posted 18 June 2018 Leeds United, another Championship gift that keeps on giving. But who knows, maybe mental (Bielsa) and mental (Leeds United) will cancel each other out.
Wymsey Posted 25 June 2018 Posted 25 June 2018 The new Leeds manager 'watched all of their 51 games last season'. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44603058 From reading this, he's probably got a good transfer plan or two in place. But, he'll need to make the team consistently effective; as, knowing Leeds, they'll chop and replace him if he loses a couple on the trot etc. Not really an easy start to the season, with Stoke at home and then Derby away.
spacemunky Posted 26 June 2018 Posted 26 June 2018 Forest are the new Wolves. Somehow I don't think it'll turn out the same though
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 June 2018 Posted 26 June 2018 Forest seem to be getting excited (and given the past few years I suppose you've got to get yourself worked up about *something*) but I swear when Wolves were buying Portuguese players they were buying folk you thought were obscene for that division. We all knew Neves was gonna be the bollocks, for example. Jota had done well in Portugal too. The lads they've bought in could be exceptional but they haven't really made a statement signing yet, not for me anyway.
gurru991 Posted 27 June 2018 Posted 27 June 2018 It looks like Villa are in a pile of hurt these days, I don't think the money from Grealish will be enough to save them. Villa, Leeds, Forest, Sunderland ....... Terrible mismanagement !!!

When Neves arrived at Wolves, I think it made you go ‘ahh yeah he’s supposed to me good’ Forest are signing them and I’m thinking ‘who the f**k is he?’
Happy Fox Posted 7 July 2018 Posted 7 July 2018 The Redshite splashing the cash on Grabban for £6m, it will be funny as f**k when they lose in the playoff final.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 July 2018 Posted 8 July 2018 Sceptical of Forest's business so far but Grabban for £6 million isn't to be sniffed at despite the fact he's 30 and will want steady wages - good for 10-15 a season, easily.
The Bear Posted 9 July 2018 Posted 9 July 2018 https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/birmingham-city-transfer-embargo-pedersen-14884830.amp Transfer embargo for Birmingham They've recently signed a Danish full back who the EFL won't even allow them to register now. People don't realise their net spend was bigger than ours last season and now they've likely failed FFP. All thanks to that utter **** Redknapp!
Dan Posted 10 July 2018 Posted 10 July 2018 Not like a club Redknapp was at to spiral out of control on the financial side. Any club that employs that clown deserves everything they get.
Footballwipe Posted 10 July 2018 Posted 10 July 2018 Let's be honest, as soon as we saw Redknapp come in and they started to spend the money they did, 99% of football fans could see what was going to happen. Deluded "love is blind" fandom was likely the only thing that stopped Birmingham fans realising the same. It's like Bielsa. We know he won't be manager this time next year, but Leeds fans will be imagining the UCL trophy parade in 2021 as a crowd surfing Bielsa carries the trophy in joy.

At least the Leeds situation is a bit crazy, a laugh, some fun whatever happens. But Redknapp has been spent for so long and continually leaves clubs in absolute messes, like you said there was just absolutely nothing surprising about it.
spacemunky Posted 14 July 2018 Posted 14 July 2018 I'm guessing that the Notts/Derby match is not televised? Was hoping to find a link for it. I don't think iFollow has it on.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 July 2018 Posted 17 July 2018 Mason Mount and Harry Wilson to Derby on loan, fair bloody play - excellent deals on paper
purpleronnie Posted 17 July 2018 Posted 17 July 2018 Looks like all or nothing this season for Forest, spending some serious dollar.
StanSP Posted 20 July 2018 Posted 20 July 2018 Villa get heavy investment from an Egyptian. Said Egyptian is on the board at Adidas. Birmingham, Wolves and West Brom are all sponsored by Adidas so whenever fans buy shirts of those clubs or products that are sponsored by Adidas, they literally help line the pockets of Villa's new owner
Koke Posted 20 July 2018 Posted 20 July 2018 Keep hearing Forest are making waves but this list doesn't impress me much.
ScouseFox Posted 20 July 2018 Posted 20 July 2018 add jack colback to that too who they’re all wanking over as if he isn’t complete and utter garbage
Richard Posted 21 July 2018 Posted 21 July 2018 Dawson, Pantillmon and Lewis Grabban Glad we moved on from that dross a long time ago.
