Championship 2018-2019

I do miss the excitement of our promotion chases and especially the feeling from fans when it's so close to getting over the line.

Some happy memories and nostalgia seeing Sheffield United and Norwich today. Although I hope we never end up there again lol

I know they've scored the most but Norwich really do have a leaky defence considering they are going to be champions. 56 conceded so far with 1 (and a bit) game to go.

Closest to that was 10 seasons ago with Wolves conceded 52 by end of the season.

They're gonna have to improve that leaky defence for next season if they want to avoid relegation because they're definitely not going to score that many.

Not too fussed by Sheffield United but I like Chris Wilder, he's done great jobs at virtually every level he's managed at.

Should Sheffield United be promoted as expected, Wilder will have taken teams up from England's fifth, fourth, third and second tiers during his managerial career.

That is quite the feat - wonder whether that's a new record, unprecedented.

Norwich seem to have gone down the same route as us in terms of having a mixture of overseas and British players whilst Wilder has done an excellent job with pretty much the same squad for 2-3 years .

The danger I guess will be breaking up thosr squads to make the improvements required .

Probably what unsettled Fulham and they won't be buying Portugal/Mexico Internationals like Wolves have .

Leeds and Sheff Yoo coming up together would have been great. Instead we have another nothing club in Norwich to go along with the Brighton’s, Burnley’s and Bournemouth’s of the world

Sheffield United are a nothing club, million times more than Norwich.

Playoff picture currently consists of six clubs:

Leeds United (pole position)

West Bromwich Albion

Aston Villa

Derby County

Middlesbrough FC

Bristol City FC (outsiders)

If you go by the form table, it's the Villa going up.

Derby to spawn it and then be relegated with 8 points total next season.

Wilder's approach is similar to that of Eddie Howe, who seems to carry general progression of his squad every season with steady additions of the same mould.

Whatever anyone says of Bournemouth, you can still bet they'll be safe come the end of a season.

You're right if Wilder can get the balance right at that level, Sheffield United will be fine.

Would be sickening for Leeds fans if they failed to gain promotion, after a promising prospect of it until a couple of months ago.

Bielsa won't stay if they don't go up, as he apparently demanded €2m* for the season to join them and get them up (* which Leeds owner agreed to) after much negotiations between him and gbbe club last Summer.

Will feel sorry for the top-flight if a Tony Pulls team competes in it again.

Just watching the Leeds v Villa moment, sorry but isnt latest ruling a few years ago that its up to the team on the ball to put it out and for the opposition to play on unless they put the team on the ball out? Cant say what Leeds have done wrong there but fair play to them for letting Villa equalise despite Villa's gamemanship.
