He made 23 appearance in 11/12 (3 goals) when they won the league, that’s a decent contribution tbh.

Sky did some comparing stats with him, Maguire and Morgan as in duels, dribbles, interceptions etc, he was ahead in the majority of them .

He was quite young then and only just starting to make his way into the team, I agree he didn't look the best but we are talking 8/9 years of experience behind him now so think it will be a good move overall

For the benefit of the person who complained anonymously, Trees refers to Notts Forest. It's not a racial slur.

Again we sign another captain, not he would be the official captain but it's good to have vocal players. Show's what the clubs recruitment is like as Maguire, Silva and Iborra signed last years were either captains or vice-captains at their former clubs.

We tried getting him when Pearson was in charge and have been in for him pretty much every window since.

He wanted the move last yr & It was pretty much a done deal but West Brom bumped the price up a ridiculous amount at the last minute after the interest from City & Arsenal & the deal died.

To finally sign him for only £3.5m in today’s market is an unbelievable bit of business from us especially when u consider his pedigree & proven quality.

Great signing!!

It was also key to our successes in the O’Neill era.

I think, with Chilwells defensive frailties and Pereria attacking capabilities, 3 at the back would get the best out of them.

Early into the transfer window and we've done about half of our business. Not too shabby. Need two creative midfielders now.
