Robertson & Maguire are evidence that signing defenders from relegated teams can work wonders.

Good luck Jonny!

Welcome, VERY happy with this... Very happy with Puel's work thus far

[lgfualol]

Cant wait to see our new back 4 in action. What a great signing.

[mozartfox]

Need to move some out now.

[StriderHiryu]

Great signing, and so far impressed with our signings post season. Upgraded two positions we needed two with proven players who are good on the ball.

Just the tricky Riyad situation to negotiate now, and to move on the expensive players who were sent on loan last year.

Welcome Jonny!

Exclusive picture of his arrival via rail station - the chasing driver is out of shot

[Finnegan]

I like this return to signing old United academy prospects. It's like Nige all over again.

[Katy]

Aw he’s just done a very nice message to us all on LCFC’s instastories. I’m very impressed with our two signings so far ??

[Bert]

Just watched his interview. Our media team are awful. Some of the questions they were asking were absolutely painful. A seasoned pro like Jonny Evans having to answer whether he's going to be watching Love Island.

[MC Prussian]

Very nice!

Welcome to LCFC, Jonny!

Bodes well for the next season. Now ideally another centre-back and maybe a more experience left-back as a replacement for Fuchs in January and our back four is safe.

Really good signing and in the words of Chuck Berry "Johnny B Good"

[CarbonVirtine]

Nice.

[FoxyPalace.com]

Good and Silly Cheap.

Bargain City.

[Bert]

Kasper

Maguire Morgan Evans

Pereira Iborra N'Didi Silva Chilwell

Vardy Iheanacho

Wouldn't be surprised if that's how we line up for the most next season.

Great signing.

Experienced, not that old, great defender, gets the odd goal and all for a ridiculous price.

[RumbleFox]

Welcome!  Really pleased with this signing and I like the way we are building methodically from the back so far.  Quite excited about the "base" of our team.....

                    Kasper

Pereira Maguire Evans Chilwell

                 Ndidi Silva

Welcome Jonny!

This signing makes so much sense so I’m pleased we got it done early. And to think how much we’ve saved because of the relegation clause

Still need another centre back imo whether that be Dragovic or someone like Ben Gibson

[TheUltimateWinner]

Honestly this is such a steal, I know he's not a marquee signing as such but I'm so pleased that we have signed a player of his calibre for a position that was in much need of strengthening.

Our defence will be boosted as a whole because of this.

If we were going for a relegated defender I'd have preferred Mawson. Don't much fancy Evans, seems a bell based on the taxi incident and West Bromwich did much better once he was dropped.

This could be a really good lineup. Not sure about Morgan though.

[Vacamion]

Cool.

With Evans and Maguire, we might score from corners, like in times of yore...

[fazzyfox]

As close to a replacement for Huth as you could realistically find and with a few extra years on him. Obviously Huth wasn't available last season so man for man it looks like Morgans place at serious risk unless we go to a three and presuming we fend off bids for Maguire. Would still like Dragovic in and could see Morgan moving on now. A good bit of business so long as Maguire stays, if Maguire was going I'd want a younger CB like Mawson coming in.

Mawson would have cost 15-20 million, we only have so much money, we have to look at good value targets as well.
