Just watched the latest lcfc video on twitter of training today. Simpson, King, Ulloa and Slimani and trained with the 1st team. Couldn’t see Evans or Maddison on there.

Both Evans and Maddison are in that video.

What's the latest with Okazaki? Has he left and no one told me? :(

Haven't seen his name mentioned by anyone. Assume he's injured is he?

I'm going for the total Tony Pulis masterclass.

Schmeichel

Amartey, Morgan, Maguire (prefer a rusty Maguire over a fit Benny), Fuchs,

Ricardo, Silva, N'Didi, Chilwell,

Maddison,

Iheanacho.

Bench: Ward, Albrighton, Johnson, Iborra, Ghezzal, Gray, Vardy.

All in the two pairs of fullbacks lol

Shinji was in training this morning. Probably just out of favour.

Can't see Ghezzal being thrown straight in.

Pullis will prefer more tall and static iborra rather than silva type of player as dm.

He will also add at least 1 tall striker so madisson will be swap with ulloa

Thanks,

Seems to me like Shinji's the forgotten man. Nobody is picking him in their starting 11 or even as a sub. If he's fit, I reckon he can still do a job for us this season.

Edit: Just seen someone has started a thread on exactly this! Good...

                    Maddison

                   Iheanacho

what i would hope he would do  (Still think vardy needs more time as he was injured) and i am more than happy with nacho.

I honestly think that offers our best chance, Puel seemed to be preparing for this in preseason so I wouldn't be surprised.

Solid.

Puel said neither he or Vardy will. I'm not sure if this is a lie, however.

Ah I missed that, yeah could be a ploy of Puel’s

I'm not sure whether he will or not but I'm pretty sure the piece I read, Puel said the players have to be protected, long season, blah blah but I'm sure at the end he finished with 'we will see'. I don't think anything is guaranteed. I have no idea of Maguire's fitness though.

Can we have a comedy team selection thread? This one is a winner.

That's honestly not that bad, particularly given the players we currently have missing.

Morgan/Benalouane is unavoidable due to injury/fitness concerns, but Maguire/Evans will be our main partnership this season, maybe with Benkovic as well. Slim chance of seeing one of these starting on Friday.

Amartey is capable at RB with Ricardo ahead of him - certainly a bit more balanced than Simmo/Mahrez was. I doubt it'll be our season-long pairing but its more than enough for GW1.

I imagine we'll go for Silva over Choudhury, but he'll still see some minutes and has so far held his own at this level.

We might be a bit weak at LW but Albrighton/Gray are both capable, and it looks as though we might be trying to bring in an upgrade.

Iheanacho is looking very good recently, and will be replaced by Vardy eventually.

United will be missing key players, too, remember.

I think that's one player off the actual starting lineup. I don't think Puel will be giving any debut's to start with and Ricardo is more than useful in the final third too.  Think he'll opt for Silva over Choudhury though.

Either way it looks like it'll be a long night.

These are some very weird formations and player selections, is everyone OK?

Surely it will be close to:

                 Schmeichel

Ricardo  Wes Maguire(if fit)  Chilwell

                 Ndidi  Silva

Albrighton  Maddison  Gray/Diabate

                 Iheanacho
