Seventh would be amazing tbh.

I'd go for anything above 11th with Hamza, Darnell and Chilwell confirmed Premier League level players, with Barnes ready to make the jump to the Premier League, and another youngster coming through. Four academy players in the first team would be fantastic

I think Cardiff are nailed on for 20th and Manchester City 1st. Can see Watford and Huddersfield struggling. Top 6 the usual sides and to round the top 10 off us, Everton, West Ham and Palace.

3/4 people predicting us to be best of the rest outside the top 6, wow.

Last season we had a poor start, a few rubbish runs of games, and a lacklustre finish, yet still only ended 3 points behind 8th and 7 off of Burnley in 7th. Even Burnley, though, had a few poor spells, and despite getting into the Europa league qualifiers they haven't strengthened all that much. I can't see them keeping up the same level of performances this year.

We've lost Mahrez which is obviously a concern, but we've spread the creativity around with our new signings and if we bring in a CB as is rumoured then we've solidified at the back as well. Last season if Mahrez went missing in a match we'd look clueless. With Maddison, Ghezzal, Pereira, Iheanacho and Silva having a full season we're a much more balanced side.

I'm not that impressed by other teams' signings (admittedly, they'll probably be saying the same of ours), but crucially we weren't worse than any of them last year, and we've not dropped further back imo.

Plus, a little bit of optimism helps :D

Positions 3-6 are the hardest to predict as only Man City and Liverpool are in a position to go into the season confident with their managers and squads. Pundits and fans have been predicting Tottenham will revert to their mean, which was probably unfair but I think with the new stadium, lack of signings in addition to Kane and Dembele's injuries they'll struggle.

Brighton the surprise package, they've bought well and Hughton's steady. The rest is self explanatory, I think.

I’m sure Man City can be got at if teams stop giving them as much respect and go for it. Liverpool proved this in the CL. Of course, it could also go horribly wrong.

Some unknowns - Arsenal post Wenger, Fulham potentially comfortable, potentially strugglers, have made Chelsea 6th as despite some top quality in Hazard and Kante still not sure about the centre forward and having David Luiz as a CB in a back four is bomb scare time week in week out. I see our mini league being with Everton and probably West Ham after all that spending but you never know with them if it will all click as it should, for our sakes hopefully not. I've said it before but just avoid silly results, beat the teams you should be beating and 7th to 9th is there for the taking. Could be a south coast scrap for avoiding the final relegation place which would be interesting.
