Newcastle, West Ham and Everton all have bigger fan bases by default and therefore more clicks/bigger TV audience.

You’re right yet I still don’t think the media take much more of an interest in those clubs more than they do us in truth.

Well he's not signed his new contract yet. Come the end of this season he's got one year left, will be 29 and looking for what's probably his last big contract.

If I were in charge, I'd be all over his agent.

Said this a while back, should of gone all hell and leather for him

Rangers and Celtic have 1.3 million Twitter followers COMBINED

Leicester have 1.7 million

(I couldn't find a Twitter feed for Celtic reserves though...)

Some teams are just bigger than Twitter, the question you need to ask is does Twitter have a Celtic reserves account?

Let's be honest a pundit will say Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea, United or Arsenal can win the league because since it formed in 92, only us and Blackburn have won it other then those teams in the last 28 seasons.

Same with the top 4 champions League positions outside of the so called Big 6 only us and Everton have achieved it.

With regards to linking our best players to bigger clubs, it's hardly a surprise when we have sold, Kante 2016, Drinkwater 2017, Mahrez 2018, Maguire 2019, Chilwell 2020.

We are a selling club, very similar to how Spurs were viewed when they sold Berbatov, Carrick, Modric, Bale, Walker.

Only way to change that is to finish in the top 4 more and stop selling our players to rivals.

Same with Spurs, until they win something they will be now as bottlers.

Simple really.

You don't get given respect you have to earn it.

Sad but true.

That 2015/2016 win certainly elevated our Club.   Suspect Instagram and Twitter similar positions. Surprised Liverpool not higher though.   Big 7 here we are.

"You don't get given respect you have to earn it".

How many top 6's or trophies do we need to win to earn respect? It seems to me that respect is unrelated to how much coverage we get or how the 'experts' look down on us. Don't expect anything to change for a long, long time if ever unless the club somehow generates increased worldwide viewing figures.

In recent history the PL had the big four Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, who dominated the PL and Cups, then came along Man City and to a lesser extent Spurs.

Man City cemented there spot by winning 14 major trophies and finishing top 4, 10 season.

Spurs have finish in the 'top 4' in 5 times and 'top 6' 5 times in the last season  10 season.

We need to have sustained success to be spoken about in the same terms as the so called big 6.

Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool, Man City, Spurs generate more worldwide viewing figures, because they are successful clubs.

We've 'only' got 1 trophy and 2 top 6 finishes. Compared to all the other big clubs we've still got a long way to go.

Think we'd need to finish top 6 four or five years in a row to be considered a legitimate gatecrasher.

I think the likes of Sky would drop Manc if their investment and trophies dried up (probably same for Chelsea). However, ManU and Liverpool (even Arsenal) would still be the most prominently featured clubs no matter what. The point is that some clubs will always attract more viewers and revenue and therefore it's irrelevant how much 'respect' a club has with these broadcasters. Most clubs, including us, don't stand a chance.
