LCCFox96 Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 (edited) Happy apart from the lack of an actual striker. Gray isn't bad upfront but I'd rather we went with Iheanacho or Okazaki. Dropping Pereira back and bringing in Albrighton is wise vs Liverpool. Content with Ghezzal starting and pleased with more pitch time for Ndidi and Mendy together. Edited 1 September 2018 by LCCFox96

whoareyaaa Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Nacho must be melting seeing that, got to start him
what? Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Wow guys, just bench my entire fantasy team why don't you
Deebhoy Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Must admit to scratching my head with this selection.
coolhandfox Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Interesting, show's he has little faith in Nacho.
foxfanazer Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Can’t wait for Gray to score and make you lot look like fools 2
Hanan96 Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Wonder why neither soyuncu or benkovic start ahead of morgan in last cup games if morgan had to start this game
whoareyaaa Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 it's not really surprising as he never keeps the same team ever but no Nacho is a very strange decision
Alf Bentley Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Wondered whether Iheanacho would play. He eventually scored v. Fleetwood, but missed several chances before that and seemed shockingly low on confidence. After missing one chance, it looked like he struggled to make himself stand up, he was beating himself up so much - then, going off at half-time, I noticed Albrighton go over pat him on the back and console him. Have to trust the manager's judgment on his state of mind & whether it would be a good idea to play him in a big match....might have been a risk of further damaging his self-confidence. But it does show that we're really a striker short in this squad, aren't we? Vardy and Iheanacho being unavailable leaves us experimenting. We should have another specialist striker, really. Still, interesting match ahead - we'll have some pace and trickery, at least.....expecting a few chances, probably missed and a defeat. Anything better will be a bonus - progress of performance matters more than result today. 1

And for what? To play a winger up front that can't hit a barn door? Are you purposefully ignoring the fact he has consistently put out one of the youngest teams in the league this season and given chances to our youngsters more than any manager in recent times or do you genuinely think he is not good for youngsters? 8

RumbleFox Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Gonna say something radical for FT here...... I hope we win. X 1 2

I would rather play with a false 9 rather than a striker that goes missing so often.

ealingfox Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Increasingly convinced Puel doesn't rate Silva. I'd have kept Iheanacho and played Gray instead of Ghezzal.
Grebfromgrebland Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Not sure why people are surprised that Gray is in for Iheanacho. Iheanacho has been pretty poor so far.
ozleicester Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 I like that Puel plays the tactical game 1

When he got up he hobbled a bit, thought then he'd over stretched and pulled something, until he came out for the second half.
Webbo Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 When Ihenacho was at Man City he was only any good when he came on as a sub. 1
Koke Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 The idea is to pack the midfield. And get them on the counter. Iheanacho slows that up. 1
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 September 2018 Posted 1 September 2018 Gray up front and Morgan playing again...
