Effort, particularly defensively, and consistency (has he ever put in a performance that wasn't at least 7/10?). He's particularly invaluable in front of a Chilwell or Ricardo where they're able to maraude forward knowing he's got their back. In front of a heavily defensive full back like Simpson? Less good. Hopefully he's on the left and Diabate the right, but I doubt it

Depending just on one player to be our main creative outlet is a recipe for disaster.
