Leicester City have been linked with a move for Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough year with club and country as the Foxes and Arsenal said to be taking an interest.

Chukwueze has made 13 appearances this season for Villareal, scoring four goals for the La Liga side.

Capable of playing on either flank, he made his senior international debut in October, winning his only cap so far.

FootballLive.NG report his form in Spain has led to the Premier League duo to take note with Atletico Madrid also linked a 40m euro deal.

City currently have Marc Albrighton, Demarai Gray, Rachid Ghezzal and James Maddison as wide options.

Villareal coach Luis Garcia is quoted as saying Chukwueze, who won the Under-17 World Cup in 2015 with Nigeria, is their "jewel".

“I was told about Chukwueze. He’s got speed, spark, he can dribble. He’s a jewel we have to take care of," he said.

Cost of players is getting ridiculous. If true, 40m euro for a player who's played 13 games?! I really don't get it. Seems like a prospect, but not to buy for an obscene amount

We need some added pace to our attacking play and his first touch and control looks very good. I can see why we have been linked with him and Brais Mendes, they both have that Mahrez style of attacking play from wide right.

3 goals and 1 assist for them and rated at £36m.... ok.

So we are getting 10X the player of gazzelle for only double the price.

Sounds great to me

This is the player Musa should have been.

Doubt we could get him because he is earning rave reviews across Europe. I often think asking the fans of the club what they think of the player is an acid test (e.g. look at what Porto fans said about Ricardo, and Monaco fans said about Ghezall) and the Villarreal fans rave about this guy. To tear Real Madrid a new one is the sign of a class player! I'd say he's got the capability to be as good as Zaha (who is surely the best winger outside the top 6 now Mahrez went to Man City) but for a lot less money. But if we can't get him, then a player like him (e.g. Leon Bailey) would fit the bill. Young, technical, attacking and with the physicality to play in the Premier League. This guy also plays on the right, which means the left can be kept free for Harvey Barnes!

IMO another quality right inside forward would have us locked for 7th best team in the league. Maybe better if one of the teams above us has an off season. Albrighton is terrific, but having options there would certainly be welcome. I like Gray too, and he could still be involved as competition for places. In fact if we did manage to get into Europe then having players so we could rotate would be very important.

We should have the spending power / fees / wages to compete with any team outside the top 6.

Our problem lies with our unfashionable location I would say.

It is not often we win a battle where several clubs are in for a player.

Anderson - Hammers , would have been a great addition.. Costly yes but abundance of ability that gets you off your seat. Would have had change from the Mahrez money too.

I just think we need that odd wow factor player.

We cant always find the Kante, Vardy, Mahrez gems..

How much  would this guy cost ??
