Presumably be made in to housing development... It tends to be the case unfortunately. Ideally I’d like the club retain some of it. It would make a good community hub for the club. I seem to have it in the back of my mind from years back that there’s some kind of covenant in place which means it can’t be developed on and has to retain a sporting use, I could have dreamt that mind . Would be ideal for the women to move in though.
lcfc matt Posted 26 February 2020 Share Posted 26 February 2020 not building houses it’s a flood plain so foundations won’t handle it plus they don’t own all the land.i spoke to them as my house backs on to the training ground and i was assured no houses will be built.i was told it will be u21s u23s women or even tigers will take it on. davieG Posted 27 February 2020 Share Posted 27 February 2020 If they want to get it through the City Planning Dept. quickly several bland rectangular blocks of flats with minimum sized rooms with no parking spaces and a cycle track going nowherequickly

That's why Morrisons couldn't have it.

They’ve nicked Frank’s toilet because she kept trying to disrupt progress. She’s investigating where it’s gone but unfortunately has nothing to go on. Seems so long ago now but my recollection was that Morrisons pursuit of the site went as far as the House of Lords before being rejected. Initially, City incorporated retail and fast food outlets in the stadium designs but that was also rejected. I think they got permission for the hotel but lost the site during administration before being developed by Holiday Inn Express. I think City got the land on the cheap eventually as Power gen couldn't sell it to anyone else.

You could be right although it looks like they got 'Conditional Approval' Not looked any further than that. I guess it doesn't really matter. http://rcweb.leicester.gov.uk/planning/onlinequery/Details.aspx?AppNo=19971608

Hollyfox Posted 3 March 2020 Share Posted 3 March 2020 Looks like it's going to something we can all be incredibly proud of and will make us such a desirable club for players to come to, particularly youngsters. Can't wait for some Forest, Derby, Cov etc fan saying that they, or their mate, worked there and they planted their shirt under where the pitch is. 😄😄

KingsX Posted 3 March 2020 Share Posted 3 March 2020 I'm a little concerned about these exterior doors, no balconies, on the top level. "I'm sorry Lee, your services are no longer required. If you'll hand me your laptop you can exit via the door at the back of the office." 1
Popular Post StriderHiryu Posted 3 March 2020 Popular Post Share Posted 3 March 2020 It's been said before, but this thing is ****ing massive. It's hard to get your head around what an incredible investment in the club this is. Kudos to Vichai, Top and family. I would never have predicted how great their investment with both love and money into the club would become. 7

UHDrive Posted 3 March 2020 Share Posted 3 March 2020 From someone who has had much input on the forum and the training centre in particular, I just have to say this - where is the viagra before they stop selling it because of coronavirus! I'll certainly br emptying my stores.... 😊
