Jarrod Bowen

My mate works at the KC. He says the club and all the team have accepted the fact Jarrod Bowen is gone in the summer, a few clubs floating about. Basically, to the highest bidder, no idea what the fee will be.

In other news, he says Dean Windass is a fun lad.

Ngl I read that as "KFC" and was proper confused how they were getting any inside info. The lads pop in for some chicken and chat the inside info?

I can honestly see this one happening. He’s everything Rodgers is looking for. Wouldn’t be surprised to see us make a move for Dan James too considering the prices he’s going for but loaning him back out for a season.

Never seen Rodgers get a player in and loan him out immediately. If James was transfered he'd spend at least the summer and the first half of the season to get used to the "Rodgers Way."

Who knows. If he's good enough he'll play. Ask Raheem Sterling.

Sounds like a classic championship LCFC summer signing after Maguire and Maddison in previous years. The Hull fans certainly rate him.Not the target man with proven PL experience that might provide an alternative threat  to Vardy in some games where teams sit deep but looks a decent finisher. Would be keen to take him but still think we need a big centre forward of the Rondon/Mitrovic type if there is enough in the kitty after a Tielemans bid..

Rodgers has said, on multiple occasions, that we won’t be bringing in a target man. Any forward we sign will need to be mobile and press from the front.

I swear to God I'd offer gray and 5 million for him

Gray is valued at £20-25m where as Bowen is rated at £15m. What an awful bit of business that would be lol

We don't need to buy a target man, with Slimani coming back from his loan. :celebrate:

Seems fairly similar to Barnes, probably better at getting into goalscoring positions and finishing though. Both quick but not lightning, fairly strong and good dribblers.

Adams and Bowen for £30ish million between them would be very shrewd.

I’m not too keen on him, he doesn’t look the quickest and pace makes a lot of difference when it comes to the step up from Championship to Premier League when it comes to wide players, even if you are bagging lots of goals. It’s like knockaert, too good for the championship but his lack of that extra yard hinders him in the prem, sometimes can be Barnes’ problem as well, although he’s not slow either.

I felt the same way at first having not seen him in the flesh. Mr Flair assuaged my fears.

Having said that I wonder how does one measure quickness and pace or speed. Seems to me that what you run the 100 meters in doesn't matter.

More important what you do with 5,10 or 15 m. on the turn or ball retention 1v1. I'm not Brendan nor am I a scout but he seems to have alot of intangibles. If his aggression and mentality are what I see on the YT then he seems like a "no brainer" at 15 mil.

He isn't slow a d pace is only an asset if there's end product to back it up. Look at Gray, Schlupp Traore etc. Then look at Mahrez who isn't particularly quick but is so skilful that he creates openings and space without kicking and running at speed.

Is Bowen a player that would find his lack of explosive pace a problem in the PL? Its hard to say, but the way he gets in to positions and his finishing ability is much easier to transfer to a higher level and that's what I believe he is capable of.

Barnes and Bowen have similar attributes and Barnes issue so far has been finishing, I dont think pace is an issue for him as he has regularly beaten opposition with skill, strength and movement.
