Too many people on here don't get how much football had changed in the past 10 years. Yes, Roma are a bigger club but the allure and finances of the prem absolutely dwarf Italy. He's a very good player' but it's not like he's been completely world class. Especially with this young team and manager, I think we'd be a very attractive option to him and many players. I don't see a top 6 club in England going for him so if one of the 'best of the rest' wants you, I think El-Shaaraway would want to hear.

I know he has improved since his last couple of seasons with AC Milan but i’m not sure I would go with him to be honest.

For the money he would want I think there are better options.

He's certainly not consistent. Definitely more of a West Ham signing than a Leicester one. I'd be amazed if he ever wound up here.

Despite his showreel, he does feel like  player that a few years ago Stoke would have seriously overpaid for, and then failed to deliver. I don't know why though.

The last Egyptian forward that a Premier League team signed from Roma turned out to be fairly decent... :D

I suspect this player could get a move to a better club than us, but then again we managed to snag Tielemans (albeit on loan). I think in terms of the way Rodgers wants to play, this player ticks all the boxes. Earlier in his career his attitude and workrate were questioned, but I believe he is now one of Roma's stand out players and has no real weaknesses. He'd most likely get 10-20 goals a season from a wide berth and as such would command a hefty premium.

Am pretty sure he'd improve most teams in the league though. Even Chelsea and Arsenal could go for someone like this I feel.

Other than the fact he’s Italian, you make a good point lol

If there was a team to turn inconsistent players into more consistent ones...

He plays for Italy, but is half Egyptian. The name being somewhat of a giveaway

Don't mess with the Strider.

When it comes to football he has a brain the size of a wardrobe and knows the inside leg measurement of every player in Europe.
