Have to say Burnley have done very well, here.

Very unlucky with that late chance that his the crossbar, too.

You could say that Dyche is one of the best English managers for a while.

Lampard seems a managerial rising star in the game.

They’ve now lost the opportunity to go 100% at home though ....

I know that's 1 downside, but total points will be only target now and klopp will want it

He does the same thing every year galvanises after poor form and goes on a good run.

when you look at the points he has amassed and the quality and wages they have for their squad he massively overachieves

"When you compare you're resources to everyone else's".

Do Burnley get a smaller share of TV money than everyone else, then?

Dyche has done a great job convincing everyone Burnley haven't got a pot to piss in.

After X number of years in this division barely spending they should have a kitty the size of Man City's to spend to be perfectly honest.

It's just him blowing his own trumpet tbf.

Have to agree. Be interesting to see how Burnley would do if/when dyche leaves.

Dispite a lot of criticism of Dyche on here ,he's done a fantastic job and they're a proper hard working side, that play a bit of football as well.

I've got a lot of respect for what they've achieved

Would the likes of Allardyce and Pardew achieve the same as Dyche has done under Burnley, for example?

NFP getting a Red Adair reputation as the rescuer.

Move over Big Sam, it's Big Nigel.

So far Nigel’s includes:

Carlisle Utd - Jimmy Glass fame

WBA (as Assistant) - first Great Escape

Southampton - relegated us :(

LCFC - Greatest Escape

Watford

All last ditch efforts. How does Big Sam’s stack up?

I think getting Bolton to Europe ranks pretty highly lol

Allardyce had Bolton in Europe whilst not spending huge amounts, Pardew took Newcastle to fifth under Ashley.

Hard to say.

Some players and managers do well at certain clubs, then go elsewhere and fail.

Some people don't like him or his team, and that's fair enough, but I think Burnley would really struggle to replace him and maintain their Premier status.

Dare I say it, the toughness to beat, the running through walls, the total commitment in nearly every game, is pretty similar to Leicester under MON.

MON also moaned a fair bit about not being able to financially complete with other elite clubs, if people on here can remember.

As somebody who has half accepted we're not finishing in the top 4, i'm looking forward to this game. Rooting for Sheff Utd ofc but if Chelsea did win (and with Spurs playing Arsenal tomorrow, draw please..) it more or less guarantees a top 6 finish

They’ll be down next season or year after. Ageing squad and the board won’t reinvest any money, they’ll just expect Dyche to produce the same as usual.

Mike Garlick said Burnley could’ve gone into administration when there was talk of the season being postponed. If they really don’t have any money then they either have a very inefficient business model or Garlick’s padding his back pocket with the tele money.

Dyche has been critical of the finances available to him. Be interesting to see where dyche will eventually end up. Would be in the running again if/when brendan goes.
