Tuna Posted 2 February 2020 Posted 2 February 2020 off his line so should have been re taken as well. It's a ****ing shambles.
Brainy Posted 2 February 2020 Posted 2 February 2020 (edited) Should be a penalty but i've always felt with those sort of situations that Sterling was never going to get the ball after kicking it anyway. Think it's one of those classic: not in the area = foul, in the area: no foul Edited 2 February 2020 by Walkers 1

You can't have it both ways. It doesn't *have* to be one or the other though, it's still a contact sport. 2
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 2 February 2020 Posted 2 February 2020 VAR was supposed to put an end to mistakes and controversy, I swear there’s more now than ever. 2
Bayfox Posted 2 February 2020 Posted 2 February 2020 Fascinating game to watch. But I'm staggered they haven't given the 2nd one. If loris gets there 1st the ball comes back into play.

But in this situation he's either been brought down by Lloris or Sterling's dived, there is no other explanation. For me Sterling's been brought down, as Bayfox says if Lloris get there first the ball doesn't go out for a corner, unless it bounced back of Sterling and I'd say replays show Sterling kicked the ball. Popular Post whetstonefox Posted 2 February 2020 Popular Post Posted 2 February 2020 Watching mike dean walk around with that yellow card for a minute or so with no one sure who he was heading towards was comedy gold 1 4
TheUltimateWinner Posted 2 February 2020 Posted 2 February 2020 (edited) I ****ing hate it when thick as pigshit pundits say someone isn’t that type of player. If he’s committed a red card offence it’s a red card offence, no matter how much they give to charity or have the best smile Edited 2 February 2020 by TheUltimateWinner

Unabomber Posted 2 February 2020 Posted 2 February 2020 Just saw the sterling yellow, surely that should’ve been a red?

Brainy Posted 2 February 2020 Posted 2 February 2020 Can't wait for Man City to score a hat-trick of penalties in a few weeks against us, probably all given on soft handballs blasted at Soyuncu from 2 yards away with his hands down by his side

I know it's never going back in the box, like the bunny. But it really is the cancer of football. Absolutely no doubt football games will eventually take as long as NFL in the next few years. 1
Hammo Posted 2 February 2020 Posted 2 February 2020 Sterling is only still on the field because of who he is (his current ‘Raheem can do no wrong’ media profile has influenced Dean and the VAR big time).

If the Tielemans challenge against Bournemouth (that they said was erroneously reviewed by VAR) should have been a red, then that Sterling challenge should be too.
