Jattdogg Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 Dont care for liverpool to win the league but would love to get 3 points at man city. Think we have that mojo with us so its possible. Best outcome, newcastle beats or draws liverpool and we beat mancity 3-2.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 Can only see Liverpool winning the title now, we have the confidence and the players to go to Man city and get a result (especially seeing as how nervy they get if they don't score early). Let's get at them give them a game and put ourselves right in the mix for 7th. I know I'm getting ahead of myself but I'm very excited to see what next season brings. 1
UPinCarolina Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 Really not concerned with the result but rather the performance. Let's push on and end the season in good form and on the highest note we can muster. 1
RowlattsFox Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 I hope Liverpool don't lose at Newcastle, that will mean Man City could win it on Monday and I don't want anyone winning the league against us. We can definitely go there and give them a scare at the back, but that will leave us open to them. We're not going to sit 10 men behind the ball. Same team.
Guest Danny Clender Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 For me the only discussion is starting Barnes vs Albrighton, and brilliant, we have both options. From the sensible side of me, I'd start with Albrighton, he played well yesterday and made some good passes and space. I think his experience will help us out and he's enjoyed scoring against them this season. Bring Barnes on later. So yes, essentially a repeat of yesterday, obviously. No need to spring any surprises on Pep, yesterdays tactics will be more than enough for him to deal with.
Ric Flair Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 This has got a sort of Champions League semi final 2nd leg feel about it and I don't mean because we are yet good enough to be back in there but because Man City have to win but it's a game that could produce a lot of goals like their past CL games against Liverpool and Spurs in the last 2 years. I've said it before but we as a club love being in the limelight, the fans love it, the players love it and Rodgers does as well. There's so much pointing towards us being the club to do it, but let's face it we are up against one of the most relentless PL teams in recent history. We dispatched of them at our gaff after letting them off the hook in the cup and we ought to have got a result both home and away vs Liverpool so we aren't fazed by the very best. It's hard to call it, I fancy us to cause an upset and be lavished with adulation once again but Pep knows he can't concede this title. It's a fascinating game. 1
OntarioFox Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 (edited) I'm conflicted here, because people are writing us off despite us having just spanked Arsenal and having a potential double against these in sight. I always want Leicester to win every game we play. And, honestly, in this mental season we're having it would be so like us to go and do it at their place. That said, I can't stand the thought of effectively handing Liverpool the title by getting something from this game. I'm sorry, but even against the petro billions and plastic nature of Man City in 2019, I simply cannot bear the thought of Scousers expecting the world to kiss their arses (even more so than at present) if they win the league. On that basis, my ideal scenario is a 2-2 draw with Vards getting to 20 goals, while Liverpool blow it in similar fashion with a draw or defeat against a Newcastle side we already know are more than capable of going away with a game plan against expansive teams. Somehow, 7th is still on. I can see us beating Chelsea on the last day and Wolves have two awkward fixtures in a resurgent Fulham and a Liverpool team who will no-doubt be playing for the title on the final day. I'd love for us to just say '**** it' and go completely gung-ho on them- it's probably the last thing they're expecting. We'd probably get picked off but Vardy getting to 20 goals again would be class and it would be great to be involved in a 7-goal classic during a title run in. 1

Everything else is just disappointing.
Matt_Lcfc Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 (edited) Obviously a tough game. However, reckon we will make it hard for them, our pace will get in-behind their high fullbacks and actually their defence isn’t amazing at all. Can see us scoring at least, and the longer it says at 0-0 the more this will become apparent. still think their quality will be too much. Man City 3-1 Leicester Edited 29 April 2019 by Matt_Lcfc
Foxxed Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 Same team. Start Albrighton for his defensive qualities. I'll be more than happy with a good performance.

Clever Fox Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 This will be a massive game in our young teams development. I'd go with the same plan Puel used earlier this season. We can't go gung ho or we'll be picked off. We need to be patient, deny them space, But be ready to break quickly when the chance arises. I hope Vardy scores and we denigh Aguero. I'd love to see Vardy claim the golden boot.
TeaMen Tom Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 The stars are aligned almost perfectly for LCFC in this one, except that it's away. Team is peaking, lots of young talent with something to prove vs a great opponent - and everyone's going to be watching them this is the last hurdle for City to grab the title. You couldn't ask for a better set up. 2-1 Foxes.
HighPeakFox Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 Shades of Middlesborough away, back in the bad old days....
Foxes1 Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 Referee for the game is Mike Dean the scouser from the Wirrall Man C fans are not happy. They are also worried because Vardy / Maddison are diving so and so's, funny though they don't mention that diving cheat Sterling.
Grebfromgrebland Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 Ideally we beat man city and Liverpool lose to Newcastle and beat wolves.
ousefox Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 First time I've bet on us this season. Draw no bet at 13/1 - confident we won't lose.

If you look at our results since Pep has joined Man City, there is only one result which was a blow out. We always score against them as well. I just ask we dont roll over. Wolves have Fulham next week and thats 7th sorted Is it though? Wolves drop points to all the rubbish.
Izzy Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 Had my regular afternoon snooze earlier and dreamed that we drew this 1-1 So there you have it

It would be.good to stop Man City after all these recent agonising cup defeats and penalty shoot outs. Vards pen in the last minute would be special.
whoareyaaa Posted 29 April 2019 Posted 29 April 2019 (edited) I'd probably go with the same team bring Barnes on second half. Maguire was a lot more solid as well against Arsenal deserves to keep his place Edited 29 April 2019 by whoareyaaa

Or am I being too cruel? Souness spoke well of us against Arsenal pre match saying it was a sought after job and we will be a dangerous team under Rodgers
