It's already the 3rd anniversary of the Foxes Championship, but I still remember this Monday night very well. I stayed at home and I was hoping, as always, to get a good stream for Tottenham vs Chelsea. I was relaxed because I did not really expect Chelsea's help. Halftime 2:0 Totts, everything seemed to be over. Suddenly 2:1 and still a long time to play. Then the incredible 83rd minute. Eden Hazard's brillant goal in the top-right corner 2:2. I cheered, but now I was getting nervous. 7 minutes left to play plus added time, another endless 7 minutes, I had the feeling that the clock did not run anymore. Final whistle in the 97th minute. I cheered like mad, I could not believe it,  I was speechless, had tears in my eyes, really champion? Minutes later the story went global, Leicester City Champions of England. Within seconds, Leicester City was world famous. And that was no fake news, unbelievable.

After the match my stream showed a short video of Jamie's party and my joy knew no bounds anymore. After a few victory-beers I fell asleep happily. When I woke up on Tuesday morning, I knew it was all true...a dream come true. I will never forget all the heroes of 2016 and the exceptional Claudio Ranieri, and I'm sure, after the disappointing 17 months with CP, the Foxes future is shining bright blue with Brendon Rodgers...

I was still living in Italy. I finished work at 8 (7pm UK time) and I was trying to be calm and distant about it. I took the train home, picked up a pizza and a few beers and went back thinking  may check the score. Turned it on at 0-1 Tottenham and got completely sucked in. Felt so sick at half time even though in reality it wouldn't have made that much of a difference. When Hazard scored I completely lost it. I knew then that was it, Tottenham weren't coming back. Full time is a bit of a blur. Called lots of people, drank a few beers (on my own, but at least I was getting texts and calls from all sorts of people). Got emails from people I hadn't seen in years. Got very emotional.

Woke up next morning, wandered into the centre of Trento to get some breakfast. Sat outside, James Richardson style, drinking coffee and reading Storico titolo per il Leicester in la Gazzetta.

I went to Man Utd away on the Sunday and watched the Chelsea v Spurs game the following day at home with my Dad while we had a couple of beers. Wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Pretty similar here. We had played Man U the day before hadn't we, so had already had the emotions of hoping we could pull off a win during that match. Just such a surreal evening at home with my husband pottering around, and my cat getting quite alarmed by my jumping up and down in front of the TV!

I loved reading Kasper's account of the emotions he went through that night.

Was in Vietnam, on a boat with no internet and extremely intermittent phone reception. Texted my dad to ask him to message me the score, my text went through but I still heard fvck all at 5am local time (11pm UK time) from anyone with no reception so went back to sleep.

Woke up a couple of hours later to about 8 unread messages and knew we'd done it without opening a single one.

Was only about a week later when I realised how bat shit the Chelsea Spurs game actually was as opposed to just knowing the score.

That game was nuts. I would have been disgusted if our players had acted like the Spurs players did that night. Wasted so much time fighting rather than pushing to get a winner :dunno:

Ha yeah, from the highlights I've seen afterwards its probably a good thing I missed it all.

I came down from Glasgow to Leicester the morning of the Man Utd game, setting off at 0600 with a massive hangover (Mrs Vac driving) to watch that game in the pub, with the intention of big celebrations in Leicester if we won it that day.

When we didn't win it at Old Trafford, with a working week looming, I gambled that Spurs would beat Chelsea and came back up to Scotland.

Durr.  lol

Watched it in my lounge, posting on here.  :scarf: :scarf:

I refused to believe, at any point, that we would actually win it. Everyone telling me that we will be Champions and how much they want us to win it. Something will go wrong. It has to. It was all a bit of a laugh until about late Feb/March as we couldn't possibly stay at the top. At least we could sing 'We are staying up' ! All those 1 nils… I started avoiding stepping on drains, always following the same routine and route on the way to each match, even found the 1-0 turnstile (12, btw).

Hadn't slept properly for weeks and even started to dislike the club for putting me through this (Sky Sports News winding me up at every advert break with that 'We're coming for you' jingle). Remembering that Tottenham fan calling us 'nobodies' and how it will all unwind without Vardy in the Swansea match. Thinking about the ever increasing world's media that I'd been trying to avoid outside the stadium and how they will report the fairy tale had died.

Even after the Hazard goal I fully expected the final twist and how we would look back on this for the rest of our lives about how close we came. I was actually at peace for those final few minutes just waiting for the inevitable Spuds winner (they came close, if I remember correctly). My son and I managed 17 of the 19 home matches despite living 145 miles away but at the final whistle there was no explosion of joy, just a relief that it was over. I wasn't sure how to behave having never done it before (actually neither had any other fans, of any club, done what we have) I've been going down the City since I was seven and this sort of thing doesn't happen to us, does it. I stayed up most of the night and threw a sickie the next day. The greatest underdog football story ever and it happened to us.

Did it really happen ?? I'm still not sure.

When Hazard equalised I couldn't watch anymore. Turned it off and paced around the room hyperventilating. My wife had the game on in another room and I kept looking at the clock thinking that it must be over now. I ended up in the toilet praying, yes a grown man asking for Devine intervention. On returning to the room I shouted out 'it must be over' 'Free kick to Chelsea, time is up, but still playing' was the reply. So I went in and watched just as the ref blew for full time. Whilst the most amazing feeling, I think that year was the most anxious I have been watching Leicester.

I was in a bar on my first day of my first family holiday with my wife and 10 month old son. They went bed at halftime and I stayed and watched. Woke her up when hazard scored with my cheer and she knew we’d done it. Our room was on the third floor and she still heard me. Had been chinning pints throughout the day and game but as soon as Hazard scored I got on the good stuff. All inclusive whiskey aka knock off JD!

ecentually went back to the room absolutely steamboat and proceeded to recite the events to the wife giggling the whole time. Rang my dad and had a chat with him about it. Went to sleep. Woke 5 mins later room spinning so I ended up puking in the sink.

what a night will remember all of it for the rest of my life. Sometimes get my now nearly 4 year old son to watch images of the time, he’ll be interested one day!

I’d been to Old Trafford on the Sunday and, living in London, had booked a route home via Birmingham. If we’d won it that day I’d forget the change to London and divert to Leicester.

As it happened, I was back in London. I remember going down to the shop about an hour before kick-off and thinking I shouldn’t buy the champagne as it was tempting fate so settled for lots of beers and some sparkling wine.

Set up the laptop in my room and watched with a few beers. Had contemplated going to a pub but being in London there wasn’t anyone who I could watch it with that would appreciate the magnitude.

Hazard scores and it looked like it was happening so switched on BBC Radio Leicester for full time. Whistle went, spoke to my dad on the phone, sat back in a chair... and absolutely balled my eyes out.

The greatest one-man party known to man followed. Drank everything in the house and woke up to vomit in the sink the next morning.

Still hasn't sunk in what we achieved. Incredible.

I jumped through the roof when Hazard's goal went in.

Watched at home with the other half and the dog. Thought it was all over at half time. Went mad when hazard scored, dog nearly leapt out the window. Opened the champagne. Starred at the tv in disbelief, communicated with all my mates back in Leicester.

After weeks of nervous sickness and no sleep thought I'd be ok after it was won but no.

Received lots of congratulations in the village the next day, a small village in Ireland who'd never heard of Leicester City until we arrived and that season!.

Made the spurs fan in the village shop sell me more champagne lol

I had flown to Melbourne from Ho Chi Minh for a training course. Met up with some Leicester folk in a bar - there was about 40 of us in total to watch the Man U game. Woke early and hungover the next morning to Chelsea getting the draw. Immediately rang my son who was in UK, lots of screaming and shouting! Flew back to HCMC the same day, crying as I was checking in, people looking at me like I was crazy. Had champagne on the flight back, was a double celebration as the Mrs and I had just secured jobs in Peru, where I am now. Amazing and unforgettable.

Watched the match at home and had the biggest smile on my face  when wife came back late and we finished two bottles of bubbles to celebrate. Not sure what happened then.....!

Watched it in the soar point. I very, very rarely bet on football but at 2-1 I put money on Hazard next goal score and won £25 which paid for my night. Sounds incredibly cheap but the buzz of winning the league was a bigger high than anything else. Matt Reeves and Dave Rennie were in there too and in the pandemonium at full time I sort of jumped at them horizontally, they caught me luckily lol .

My mate who's a Leeds fan ended up on the top of a perch stand out the ground, he was loving it just as much as anybody else was!

Still the greatest disappointment about the League winning year.

Game was played at 3am and no way i was getting up again to watch, so....just woke up to find we were League Champions and then watched all of the celebrations from work :(

But..... we were still League CHAMPIONS :)

After Manchester United away I'd been out in Liverpool and stayed over there. I remember waking up that morning feeling a bit funny just... nervous. I remember driving home and feeling a bit queasy, couldn't tell if it was the drink or if it was the game.

I remember being at home and just sitting there watching Burnley v Wigan. If Burnley won the game they were up as champions. The longer their game went on, the more I felt sick with nerves. I'd made a point about hoping we did it in one of our games but I think the magnitude of the whole thing was just too much in the end and I hoped it would just be done that night, the thought of not winning it from there would probably have haunted me as a football fan for the rest of my life. I remember walking down to the Narborough Arms and watching it in there, the place absolutely rammed. The first half was obviously a nightmare and everything I feared it was going to be. I particularly remember making a point of slagging off Cahill, Costa and Hazard.

Of course it would be Cahill, and then Costa setting up Hazard to save the game.

The place went ballistic at Hazard's goal. People standing on seats. The last ten minutes was just chaos. It was like we were all at the game ourselves as we watch one of the fiercest games I can remember unfold. Tottenham completely losing their heads.

96:00 was on the clock with 6 added on and Chelsea just walked it into the corner. The place again just went absolutely mental. People on the roads beeping (this is only Narborough by the way), running around. It was just madness. We stayed there for about 20 minutes and decided it was straight to the ground. Went home, got changed, drove to Local Hero car park and just dumped it there and joined in the whole thing. On we moved to town. This sadly is where it went a bit sour as hardly any places were open bar Republic - and the absolute cvnt bouncers wouldn't let us in for literally no reason. I've not been back since and I never will. We ended up in the casino for ages, lost some money, bought some drinks and just tried to process what had actually happened. I got home at about 5am then just sat up watching SSN on repeat until about 8am. I couldn't sleep and wasn't going to try to.

It was just surreal though. The whole thing didn't feel like real life. The city just paused.

That Saturday night was absolutely outrageous as well. I've never seen Leicester like it.

I saw a tweet from a club in Wolverhampton a few weeks ago saying it was free entry for everyone if they made the FA Cup final (at 2-0 to Wolves lol) and it just made me think my ****ing god I'd love some more success. Brought it all back to me a bit.
