Thanks Brendon and Rudkin. Do you really care that much? 21 hours ago, Crispin LA said: It's obvious that Rudkin didn't look for any other candidates for the job and just gave it to Congerton. Can't believe Rudkin or Top didn't look at the previous Congerton thread when we just hired Brendon, I thought that must have stopped them hiring him, but it seems that's not the case. Yes Rudkin and Top should read FT and take on board the opinions of no nothings rather than the opinion of someone who has actually worked with him. 19 hours ago, Crispin LA said: Looking at LCFC official website it states quotes that he is vastly experienced and has had impressive background working at Chelsea, Hamburg, and Sunderland where his reputation grew. It didn't mention that with him in charge of Sunderland they got relegated and almost went bankrupt, at Hamberg when he left they got relegated afew years later and at Chelsea nobody had heard of him cos he was such a minor staff member. . . relegated a few years later!!!!!

Wizerud Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 Though Hamza just edged MoTM ahead of Chilwell, Ricky, and Schmeichel. N'didi was great from about half an hour onwards but was dawdling too much in the early going. Game probably should've been 2-2. Did anyone notice Tielemans reaction in the last five minutes or so when he was demanding the ball from Maguire who eventually passed to Chilwell? He turned around in frustration in a right strop. Was kinda funny actually.
foxinsocks Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 It was an hommage to claud puel.... wake me up in august
dyanmark Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 Marc looked spent after 60 minutes cannot work out why Barnes didn't get on much earlier. All a bit safe and Puelish for long periods but we still made some chances cut backs across the box and Vardy had dropped to the back post ! Hamza did well again but maybe needs to work on his concentration for every minute. Lets all relax for a while
Fox92 Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 Typical end of season game although Chelsea were better than I expected and should have scored before half time.
coolhandfox Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 Bit like a testimonial, we need to recruit a couple of quality wide players of we want to pressure the top 6, a centre mid, whether that YT or someone else and another striker.
Hammo Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 Decent display against the third best team in the division. Draw a fair result. Both teams messed up big chances. Choudhury was my MotM. Maguire back to his best too. We are a good Premier League side and under Rodgers I am convinced we will get better. Farewell and thanks also to our two departed champions.
lennybhoy Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 To finish 9th after the tragedy and upheaval this year has been excellent..It will be an interesting summer..I expect to lose Maguire..I won’t be too disappointed. If Chilwell goes,i it won’t be too bad either.Looking forward to next year.

Losing Chilwell would be bad news. No way do I want to lose him
RoboFox Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 First game I’d taken my other half to in five years. She was very excited pre-match. Could be a while before we go together again.
David Hankey Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 Chelsea are not 3rd by accident and taking 4 points off them this season without conceding a goal must be considered very satisfactory. A least our 9th place is better than 11th but not as good as 7th.
Jattdogg Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 We didnt lose, will take it. Happy summer everyone! Been a tough season so looking forward to next season.

Let that just sink in a while it’s very true and we are very lucky and the future is very bright! Up the city
Clever Fox Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 The game lacked an early goal to give it a bit of impetus. Though it always had an end of season feel to it., Ricardo and Chilly were excellent as usual, Hamza was excellent in breaking up play and even started a few moves. I thought Tielemans was our MOTM. His quality just shone at times. He reads the play so quickly and reacys positively. He surely would have added to his Goal Tally but for Vardy's poor pass. And as has been said he was rightly pissed off with Maguire when he didn't pass him the Ball. I hope he is still here next season.
SemperEadem Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 As a fan you are allowed to sing other than the 60th minute only.
whoareyaaa Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 It was a nothing to play for kind of game, one thing I would say Vardy has looked isolated and ineffective in the last two games probably needs a good rest and proper pre season.
Ric Flair Posted 12 May 2019 Posted 12 May 2019 Congerton's influence was quite alarming already, very mediocre today.
