Good player, absolutely massive, but 29 in 3 weeks. If we could get him for less than £30m I'd fancy it, get Benkovic or Soyuncu a good loan for a season.

I'm talking about resale value. We wouldn't be able to sell a 30 year old defender. Signing a 24-25 year old could bring us big money 2-3 seasons later.

Salif Sane is pretty decent. He'd certainly be commanding in the air.

 

Schalke got him for 6.5m. Maybe a 15-20m bid would get him? Soyuncu was purchased from the Bundesliga for 19.3m as a comparison. He'd probably be similar to Dragovic, who I personally rated quite highly and would make for decent cover. Could do a lot worse than him, that's for sure.
