It's a good point that there are several players who it could be, we don't know if there's been much going on in the background but I'm really surprised there wasn't more interest in both full backs and Maddison.

 

Chilwell, Maddison and Barnes have those extra years ahead of them but again Ndidi could be the final piece of an Arsenal jigsaw this time next year (just an example, I actually think they're several players short).

 

I see Chilwell as ideal for Spurs but don't know if they'll ever prise open Levys  wallet for long enough to find that much money. Man City literally approached him after our game didn't they (Pep apparently congratulating him on a fine game) and I'm sure they'll come for him in Jan or next summer.

 

So I'm saying Chilwell to Man Ciy next summer, reluctantly. Fee? With more years ahead of him than Maguire(Although I suppose you can be a dogged 35 year old CB but no so useful as an attacking full back by then) and a lack of other top drawer LB's,  it's got to be pushing 100 million. 97.5 - 105 million.

Chilwell or Maddison. The only sides that are consistently huge spenders are the Manchester clubs, Barca, Real and probably Juve. Can’t see anybody aside from Man City going big for Maddison or Chilwell. Our negotiating stance is strong but it could deter players from joining in the future if we price everybody bar 3 or 4 clubs in the world out.

Chilwell will go for big £ to Man City, but as Maddison is an attacking player he will go for more. My guess would be Liverpool and £90m+ in summer 2021

I don't see any English club other than Man Utd spending 80+m on a player and even then I think he'd have to be English. As good as Ricardo is I can't see us getting much over 50 tbh.
