Perez had some good opportunities to slide in players in advanced positions but chose to go safe a few times. Need to be looking for openings all the time. Issue i think with Perez is he lacks a little bit of awareness of what's going on around him. Few times that half he could have fed people in space with 1 touch, but had his head down when receiving the ball. Noticed that a bit against Atalanta too. Wouldn't take him off though, not sure taking a player with double figure goals off for Albrighton is what's necessary when trying to break a team down. eunmac Posted 11 August 2019 Share Posted 11 August 2019 I'd prefer our own homegrown Barnes on the pitch to Perez from what I've seen so far.
Guest Posted 11 August 2019 Share Posted 11 August 2019 That was our first half. Just no end product. We've stifled them completely and hopefully worn them down to take them apart in the second. Hamza excellent, Ndidi and Soyunco very good. Tielemans needs more touches, Ayoze, Ricardo pairing being defended well. Vardy with one great chance but not a lot else. Think we'll win by 2. Shane Posted 11 August 2019 Share Posted 11 August 2019 Need more movement up front. Pereira as good as he is, should not be our main attacking outlet. Fullbacks are supposed to be the supporting cast, not the main threat. Need to take off one of the CDM’s to get another body around Vardy/Perez.

Foxxed Posted 11 August 2019 Share Posted 11 August 2019 Tieleman's not having a great first half. Soyuncu looking good. Hamza fits into this first team perfectly. Ricardo our best player and best winger. We've been playing well. I hope to see Barnes at some point.

Yeah, it's ridiculous how some people go way over the top after the opening 5 minutes. I don't think a lot of people can deal with their own blood pressure. True, could be a symptom of playing for newcastle and being the furthest up most of the time. If he gets his head up there's plenty of movement around him. Maddison's movement is exceptional and picks up the right space near on all the time.
psychonaut Posted 11 August 2019 Share Posted 11 August 2019 Maddison ineffective out wide. Strange formation as Hamza is almost dropping into the back like. Ndidi seems to be picking the ball up where Maddison should be through the centre. Tielemans looks a bit knackered. Hamza off for Praet or Barnes and the earlier the better. SheppyFox Posted 11 August 2019 Share Posted 11 August 2019 Excellent first half. Been the better of the two teams and considering they’re our nearest competitors for 6th we’re looking good.
Goober Posted 11 August 2019 Share Posted 11 August 2019 Continually winning the ball high up the pitch which has been encouraging too. We've had the majority of the play. Not sure why people are expecting us to pepper Wolves

adejo92 Posted 11 August 2019 Share Posted 11 August 2019 I'd rather be 1 up with 6% possession than 70% 0-0. Whilst it stays at is it, it only takes one sloppy Wolves goal to kill us. Need some goals, or atleast reasonable attempts. Wolves are there for the taking but not with the current tactics.
