Wolves H Match Thread

Not really a lot to say about that, just missing that clinical end product. Perez had some good opportunities to slide in players in advanced positions but chose to go safe a few times. Need to be looking for openings all the time.

Issue i think with Perez is he lacks a little bit of awareness of what's going on around him.

Few times that half he could have fed people in space with 1 touch, but had his head down when receiving the ball. Noticed that a bit against Atalanta too. Wouldn't take him off though, not sure taking a player with double figure goals off for Albrighton is what's necessary when trying to break a team down.

That was our first half. Just no end product.

We've stifled them completely and hopefully worn them down to take them apart in the second.

Hamza excellent, Ndidi and Soyunco very good.

Tielemans needs more touches, Ayoze, Ricardo pairing being defended well. Vardy with one great chance but not a lot else.

Think we'll win by 2.

Need more movement up front.

Pereira as good as he is, should not be our main attacking outlet. Fullbacks are supposed to be the supporting cast, not the main threat.

Need to take off one of the CDM’s to get another body around Vardy/Perez.

good to see FT back to it's moaning bastard self.

good half, dominated against a strong team who we're in direct competition with this season for the higher places.

we've not made the most of our shots / chances. hopefully we will in the second.

cheer up you miserable fvckers. football is back.

Tieleman's not having a great first half. Soyuncu looking good. Hamza fits into this first team perfectly. Ricardo our best player and best winger. We've been playing well. I hope to see Barnes at some point.

Would like to see Barnes come on shortly into the 2nd half. No need for x2 DM's today, we need creativity.

It's very worrying that BR defaulted to that mindset on the first day of the season, playing at home against a rival we need to get on top of.

Yeah, it's ridiculous how some people go way over the top after the opening 5 minutes.

I don't think a lot of people can deal with their own blood pressure.

True, could be a symptom of playing for newcastle and being the furthest up most of the time. If he gets his head up there's plenty of movement around him. Maddison's movement is exceptional and picks up the right space near on all the time.

Maddison ineffective out wide. Strange formation as Hamza is almost dropping into the back like. Ndidi seems to be picking the ball up where Maddison should be through the centre.

Tielemans looks a bit knackered. Hamza off for Praet or Barnes and the earlier the better.

Think we might need Albrighton on. Need some whippers into the box.

I’m very surprised he didn’t start today. He has looked good in pre season and if we had his directness in the first half we might have a comfortable lead by now.

Yh that was the only real chance besides that it’s not been great

We've been fine. Controlled the ball and haven't really been threatened at the back. Need more width in the attack and up the tempo. It's the first bloody game for Christ's sake

we're winning the ball back every time they pick it up and moving it forward pretty quickly.

there's nothing wrong with the setup - it's working, we've just not scored.

I'd rather be 1 up with 6% possession than 70% 0-0.

Whilst it stays at is it, it only takes one sloppy Wolves goal to kill us.

Need some goals, or atleast reasonable attempts.

Wolves are there for the taking but not with the current tactics.
