Islam joins Monaco on loan

Best of luck. Shame really because I believe, as a target man and not running around like we had him, he'd be alright for us.

I hope he does well.  He's on our books for two more years, so I hope he ends this one as a salable asset.

Something's gone wrong here for the club to just keep shipping him out on loan.

He's either really disruptive, or just a bit shit.

Hopefully he bangs in a load of goals for Monaco and they take him permanently at the end of the season, a year (?) before his contract runs out and we're forced to allow him to leave for free.

Or just isnt the type of playing that fits in with the current squad and managers tactics?

Possibly the worst case of big money spent in our history.

Clearly is on too much money and we can't permanently shift him

At least he scored and assisted in the Champions League for us that helped us bring in significant revenue. Adrien Silva's output for £25m is beyond belief.

His wages are just too high.  His agent will want him to earn at his lcfc rate yet no one will buy him and pay that. So we have to loan him out and try and recoup some of the wages.

An alternative would be to offer to pay up his contract for say half his wages and then let him move to another club where he receives half the wage at leicester. .... at least we would get some txfer fee and he wouldnt lose out

What did Monaco do to us to deserve this?

Ghezzal?

To be fair though the business has suited both clubs. They got to sell two of their unwanted players to us for a considerable profit, and we get to put two of our unwanted players in the shop window (and more importantly cover some of their wages, because they probably won’t be bought)

Remember we now have one striker and Ianacho , even if Vardy gets twenty premiership goals this season, and to do that he will have to play in every match , at least three of the others are going to have to get ten apiece.

If that’s the case He’s not fitted in with three managers here  or at 2 others clubs on loan . Can’t see it being that

FoxesTalk isn't the place for balanced assessments and valid contributions.

I want wild conjecture and hyperbole! WILD CONJECTURE AND HYPERBOLE!

(Yes, you're probably correct.)

TBF he hasnt fitted in with x3 managers as we play with Vardy and them 2 never really hit it off together. He wasnt horrible for us and bagged a few goals neither Puel or BR wanted a target man. (Cant speak for the loan deals as didnt really follow them)

Anyway i hope it works well for him and then take the option to buy. It will benefit player and club.

At this point, the club would probably welcome him leaving for free if it meant getting him off the wage bill
