Had to prop himself up on his car and was slurring his words after two pints?

He's either a bullshitter or a complete lightweight.

Saw him on Monday morning as I was finishing the overnight show and he was coming in to co-present breakfast with Big Al.

He waved through the glass, I waved back.

And yes I appreciate that's a pretty shiit anecdote.

I always quite like listening to Saunders on Talk Sport. He’s pretty chirpy and likes a wind up

He’s a twat for doing this though and I have zero sympathy for him. Drinking and driving is fookin ridiculous, especially in this day and age where the roads are a nightmare to negotiate even for the most sober of individuals.

Not just your own life you take in to your hands when you drive pissed but could be some other poor bastards too. Unforgivable. Hope he drops the soap.

Funny thing about this is if he'd just taken the breath test he'd have been fined and banned for like half of that time, rather than refusing to and being jailed

The thick twat is too pissed to understand what the police are repeatedly explaining to him.

What an irresponsible idiot getting behind the wheel in that state.

I'd love them to throw the book at him.

The judge is right, he thinks his position in the public eye makes him above the law.

Set a marker and chuck him in jail for a month or so. If a 'normal' person was there they'd be in prison and not able to appeal

Shit faced

Is 10 weeks in nick normal for failing to provide a breath sample?  I think he would have provided one if he had known he was going to get a stretch if he didn't.  Or has he got previous?

I don't think he thought he was above the law, even though the judge said as much.  Just doing what I imagine a lot of people in his position have tried to do - stall it long enough in the hope he could squeak under the legal limit.
