Newcastle H Post Match Thread 5 - 0

Great win, always on complete control. Obviously red card helped second half but we've never been so ruthless. Shane Perez couldn't get himself in the box more second half but it was a much improved performance from him. Ricardo, Tielemans and Vardy superb. Barnes inconsistent but does make things happen. I like Praet, he doesn't do too much glamourous stuff but keeps things ticking over, rarely gives it away and is always available.

Let's see what we can do at Liverpool, no pressure to get a result.

We was always going to demolish a team sooner rather than later, today was the day what a performance from everyone involved.

Ricardo was pure class, Tielemans running the midfield and Vardy sprung into action second half.

defence was solid, Niddi all over the place winning everything.

Dominance from start to finish, I predicted 4 and we got 5 top 4 is well and truly on with this team and manager

Very pleasing result indeed and it was a really good performance. We were dominant before the red card and I've no doubt we'd have won 11 men each.  Newcastle going down to 10 did obviously make our task easier and they are going to struggle this season. So perhaps we should not get too carried away. But nevertheless we did a thorough job to set up next week and going forward.

Thought Ricardo was class as always, Praet was neat and tidy, Youri blows a litlle hot and cold but the talent is there and Wilf was composed. Marc Albrighton looked sharp coming on.

We do still overly rely on the ever youthful Vardy up front and that's a bit of a worry. But a great result and onwards and upwards!

We always said we needed to compare our performances this season to the ones last season we had at home where we dropped silly points. We even did it at times under Rodgers.

We have gone from a 1-0 loss at home to Newcastle to spanking them 5-0. Our most creative player didn't even feature.

Amazing improvement, red card or not.

Wow. Are we the third best team in the league at this point?

Ok ok ok.

First of all fantastic performance.

However Newcastle did not want anything today they were dreadful.

Get a point or more next week and then that's impressive

Sometimes it's hardy to beat 10 men, leicester controlled the game from the start, the second half was more like a training session, absolutely outstanding,

How are Man Utd on there? And now weren’t we on there when we won the league or in the CL quarter finals?

I think they started this the year after we won the league.    16/17 IIRC we were in the 40s or so ... don't forget how bad we were in the Prem under Claudio, plus our CL group was not high enough ranking opposition to boost us.

As for Man Utd, who knows.

Wilfred Ndidi might be my favourite ever player. Looked a bit emotional at the end bless him.

Praet was excellent, Tielemans quality, Ricardo world class.

The rate at which we won the ball back was really great to see

With you all the way in the Ndidi love. Said it in the other thread but again he's just imperious. Never see him out of position. Wins the ball back almost effortlessly over and over again. Never has to bust a gut because he's always just in the right place at the right time. Football IQ must be off the charts. Such a nice lad as well, bloody love him
