StanSP Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Too fvcking right. You have to be an absolute imbecile to direct any kind of racial hatred towards a player on a social media platform. Good job the club has done this. Glad they have.
VLC86 Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Plenty of vile stuff about today. I heard some of our fans with racist and homophobic abuse as well as arseholes trying to scrap stewards. Good to see the social media stuff has been reported.

Far too many people need educating, incredible amount of ignorance still around in this day and age.

chapero82 Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Lycos chat back in the day could block certain words from being posted so why can’t twitter?
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Can we report jurgen klopp as well?
Mike Oxlong Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Generally I like Klopp but he was bang out of order with his comments against Hamza. I guess it was a reaction to just how worried we had made him during the match.
Wymsey Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Twitter will just delete this racist individuals' account, of course; but this problem may well happen again and again if the social media firm doesn't make a more stronger stance against racism. Like on Facebook, they probably have thousands of accounts used by sad individuals who use these platforms to send disgusting abuse to victims - without the fear of being caught in-person. Hence, unfortunately, this issue seems to be going round in circles. It's almost weekly now that you hear about some football fan bullying players with such abuse.

You’re right, they’ll get band and then 5 minutes later create a new account with a new name. Need some people to start getting jail time for these tweets!
FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 5 October 2019 Posted 5 October 2019 Just read some of those tweets and Facebook posts aimed at hamza... Truely disgusting. How are people STILL like this with this frame of mind these days. Wake up

HybridFox Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Reported a few of them on Instagram myself of which I got a notification saying the comment "does not go against our community guidelines but thank you anyway". That's the downside of social media when there's no accountability.
urban.spaceman Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 The saddest thing is it's not just a handful of deranged Scousers. The amount of abuse coming from around the world, particularly Egypt, is really disturbing. And it wasn't even a bad ****ing foul!

The Fox Covert Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Casual racist comments in public are more unpleasant than social media and they are becoming more common. If you are feeling brave enough be encourage to slap it down instantly. If it works and they don't do it again it makes you feel good too.
That_Dude Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 It's sadly the power of anonymity. The lunatics, racists and trolls alike know that they don't have anything to fear.
urban.spaceman Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 It's bizarre how there's such little coverage of this compared to the coverage Sterling gets. I get that he's at a more successful club and and England international, but Hamza's one of the very few British Asian footballers that have ever even played the game, let alone achieved this sort of prominence.

Media seem to pick and choose when they go to town on racism being wrong.
Blue ROI Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Not sure how true or not this is but fair play to the club. Choudhury got hung out to dry over old tweets back in April.
Guest Eamonn Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 I can't find Mr Klopp's condemnation of the racists...maybe it will turn up tomorrow...
UniFox21 Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 https://instagram.com/stories/hamzachoudhury11?igshid=st585xzg4j5u To those that cant see it, a person messages Hamza saying; "Go kill yourself you poofy haired fat n*****" then "I hope your child gets cancer" This is over a ****ing football match. People need to grow up. The guys 21/22 and is getting abuse like from people about a tackle in a football game. If this is what the world's coming to, I want out.
Raj Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Leicester born asian kid fouls middle East brown lad and gets racist abuse from I presume predominantly white lads and lasses. The irony of it all. If it wasn't so fecking sad and pathetic it would almost be funny
