RonnieTodger Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 **** sake, he’s 22. How about getting behind a lad who’s an England regular from our academy?
ScouseFox Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 don't think it'd be a particularly good idea to sell him. we don't have a replacement and he is pretty good even if there are times when he looks like he has completely forgotten what a football is. but as with maguire, if the money is outrageous then i assume he will be on his way. 50m is nothing in this market though, for a 22 year old with 3 years of premier league experience, champions league appearances and england's first choice left back.
Foxes04 Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Are people on here really complaining about our 22 year old England international? Seriously?! He might not have had the best start to the season but everyone has poor runs once in a while. Give him a chance!
Benji Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Bit short sighted to just want to let him go. He’s a good left back who appears to be central to the good feel factor we have at the club. Lose him then you have the likes of Maddison with less of a reason to stay and the dominoes continue. I was sad to see Simpson go for the same reason but we seem to have coped fine - start losing the younger lads though and it will be a slippery slope and all our potential will slowly be sold off to the highest bidder.
dylanlegend Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Inevitable. I still think Fuchs is better, it’s a shame he’s not 25 tho
DennisNedry Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 If we can source another Ricardo type signing to replace him, I wouldn't be unhappy. Easier said than done though. As said above, I'd be more concerned that him leaving would give Madison less reason to stay.

mikey54 Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Scapegoat of the year? ...total over reaction from some fans, get a grip
North Leeds Fox Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Wouldn't sell him personally unless we are offered crazy money in region of maguire fee. Not had the best start to the season but he is 22, a key part of the squad unity off off the pitch and has the potential to be England's left back for next 10 years. I'd replace Fuchs with a high quality left back which can play further forward too and that will challenge him.
splinterdream Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Wouldn't want any players to leave. think this team has the foundations to win trophies, agreed though that Ben hasn't been to his best but like another poster said he's still learning his trade and could be one the best.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Some of the comments on here about England’s first choice left back who just happens to be 22 years old is embarassing. However, not a surprise given some wanted to flog Vardy to WBA for £5 million only a few years ago.

If he was high quality he'd keep chilwell out of the team and would decrease his transfer value.
Nicolo Barella Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 He's on a bit of bad form at this moment in time, weird time to be making transfer rumours about him. The good thing about this form is that it shows top level clubs that he isn't ready which actually makes a sale any time soon less likely.

I can't think of one
Guest An Sionnach Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 No player is undroppable , he can park his backside on the bench for a bit , if the lad makes a crucial error they will destroy him on here . There is no need to sell him though , he will improve , he should not believe his publicity though, he is no Ashley Cole .
Hammo Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 He’s the one player who has regressed since Rodgers took over. Not sure why, but his form has severely declined since this time last year when he was probably our most consistent performer. He is playing without concentration and enthusiasm. Maybe being with England has turned his head. Whatever it is, he either needs to be dropped or told to buck his ideas up because he is wasting his talent at the moment and it is not good for the club.
RumbleFox Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 It's ok, Harvey Barnes will get a good slagging next to take the pressure off. X

harpendenfox Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Extraordinary people would take £50 million. A young full English international. Best years ahead of him. We should fix our selling fee at £75 million.
Gamble92 Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 He has alot of defensive issues. It's one of them great on paper players. Young, English, likes to go forward etc. But if we got £60m+ then i think we could replace him with a Soyuncu type. And by that i mean someone alot less glamorous but arguably better defensively and a third of the cost. Having said that, in a team that doesnt need to defend much like Man City, you'd expect him to be ideal. Kind of like the Maguire to Man United deal, it would suit all parties.
RumbleFox Posted 6 October 2019 Posted 6 October 2019 Also he's a fvcking hunk in the making with wondrous hair. X

Have you not been watching him for the last three years? He cannot kick a football to a team mate on a consistent basis, a point I made last season and the season before. He is the worst player in our first 11 by miles. Sell please for whatever you can get.
