 amateur from the club

someone has dropped the ball big time ………

Do we know it's the fault of the club?

Surely Iheanacho has travelled to various destinations in the past with no problems.

Really shoddy stuff this, it will come out eventually; but club covering up something atm

Surely if they were covering something up they wouldn’t actually admit to making a massive cock up like this? They’d just say he was injured and didn’t travel?

Tell you what though, as far as calamity in football goes - we do do it quite well

The mercury said it was deemed too complicated to fly back and return with the right docs.  Sounds like he had the wrong passport.  Surely a. The club do all this and b. The checkin process should have spotted it

Good of Brendan to “accidentally” get rid of that bit of paperwork so now he has an excuse to not play him

You joke but I bet some people actually believe this.

Definitely a PR disaster. Surely the club should prepare all the paperwork and have it ready before arriving in a foreign country.

Sounds like someone at the club has made a fuc k up

Why are you blaming the club? He's not a child. Should be able to sort out the mandatory documents himself.

Yes pretty much. It's up to the Club to make sure everything is.

ready for the trip.  What if it was a more important game like a Semi final or Final. We'd be a laughing  stock.

Lets hope it's a lesson learned.

True. Emphasis on should. If (IF) he has form, you'd think it wise that someone would check. Maybe he had the wrong form?

Speculating is daft (albeit fun) though. We simply don't know what happened. No big thing though (embarrassment aside),  I assume Vardy and Daka have travelled.

He should be able to but I’d imagine the club does all that kind of thing for the players, or at least check all the documents for them before they depart.

Yes exactly this. The club are in control of everything and the players essentially just turn up.
