Shows what confidence does for you. He just looks so much more assured when he’s making a decision - if he goes, he goes 100%

 

He also isn’t getting caught under the ball any more. He was an absolute liability for that in the first few games but he’s cut that out

As I said on the post match thread, I honestly think he’s been our best player this season. 
 

As soon as he got a run of games and settled in, he’s been consistently brilliant.

 

He can play RB, CB, LB, RWB, LWB, a very versatile player who can slot in any of those positions, and deliver a performance.

I can't praise the lad enough. He's great and is developing all the time. His touch and pace is showing more and more. What a squad we have. There is no way he's being dropped for anyone. They will have to fight with JJ for a sniff.

Far as I'm concerned, Southgate can keep picking the bottlers and we'll keep our lot fit.

Probably forced into the first team quicker than we intended but he's really learned so much from that experience. He's made mistakes at times but seems to be maturing loads

Chilwell was by far the best left back in England, but took Rose to basically fall off a cliff and Shaw injured to be chosen.
