Popular Post StriderHiryu 16,746 Posted 4 December 2019 Popular Post Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 (edited) Made his premier league debut tonight as a sub and got an assist! It was quite the cameo, he looked really, really good. Fast, willing to take on and beat his man, close control, and putting in a shift for the team. After his performance in the cup I wasn't sure he was Premier League ready, but that put my mind at ease. Impressed! Edited 4 December 2019 by StriderHiryu
Ric Flair 20,259 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 Very good. He was dog muck vs Burton in the cup last time out but tonight he was just what we needed at a time where we weren't getting up pitch as much as we needed. Looks a shrewd bit of business. Captain... 7,777 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 Was very impressed by what I saw. Looks like a very good footballer and I'm not going to be worried if he has to start a few games to give Ricardo a rest over Christmas.
Finnegan 26,208 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 Nice little cameo. Looked sharp, confident, good touch.
Cujek 925 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 I love him already, unlucky not to start ahead of Fuchs imo 1

Chester Dontlie 1,654 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 (edited) Not too shabby I say! If he continues like this, Barnes should be worried about his place in the starting eleven wait.. he's RB / LB ? Now I'm even more impressed! Based on today's cameo I don't see a reason why he couldn't play on the wing as well. Edited 4 December 2019 by Chester Dontlie
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson 2,625 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 Pleased for him, he looked good, we’ve got such a good squad now, incredible.

FerrisBueller 540 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 Showed a bit of everything on such a small cameo, I like him.
Blue ROI 1,804 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 (edited) One of the highlights of our game tonight even though he wasn't on that long. Even more so considering he's predominantly a right sided player. Fair dues to Rodgers. The subs he makes seem to work out very well. urban.spaceman 31,535 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 Great cameo - he'll be invaluable in closing out games during this busy period, especially as he's so versatile and can play anywhere.
Lestoh 774 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 Guy’s still what, 19? Give him a couple of years and he’ll be a starter if Pep hasn’t bought him for £70m to fill the homegrown quota
thegaffa 162 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 Assured, composed and his reading of the game and his positional requirements was excellent.

He is the future, we really missed Chillwells energy, Fuchs is solid enough but ain't pulling up many trees these days. James looked full of running when he came on for Barnes. I take it from your snide question, you think he is rubbish?
foxes_rule1978 3,244 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 Loved what he did was confident and eased matters on that side with Fuchs legs going
Fox 4 Life 1,500 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 Gives a bit more confidence that if we lose Chilly for 70m we have a replacement potentially in the long term.

In fairness I think he was just referencing the fact that Fuchs had quite a good game… I take your point that pace from fullback does give an extra dimension, but, Fuchs let nobody down…

No I never said that and he may be the future but Fuchs is still a very good left back and Justin will get his chance at right back or left midfield
Manwell Pablo 5,446 Posted 4 December 2019 Report Share Posted 4 December 2019 (edited) I mean I don’t know how you can get “He’s the future” from the performances he’s put in so far plus a decent 20 odd minutes today 😂 but yeah, he did well tonight, going to be tough for him as There’s a lot of competition for the areas he wants to play in.
