I usually couldn't give a damn about the SPL, but I've followed the Heart's story this season romanticising over a giant killing.

Could this season get any worse.

Arsenal finally about to break their duck, Villa likely to win a major European trophy, Spurs likely to avoid relegation at the last minute due to a dodgy refereeing decision, Forest staying up and reaching a European Semi Final, Cov winning the league, Ipswich and likely Southampton who both finished below us last season being promoted, us getting relegated, Lincoln being above us for the 1st time in history.

Feel like I'm in a simulation where someone's trying to test how far they can push me until I break.

It's unbelievable isn't it. A good five years of absolute rubbish piled into one season. That's following the absolute farce of 2024/25 as well.

The amazing thing about the penalty decision is that VAR should only step in on a clear and obvious error. That the debate is raging hours after the game proves it wasn’t clear or obvious. VAR consistently gets too involved in the game.

Yes. In effect Celtic only need to win by one goal.instead of 4.

Would have needed to win by 3 Hearts plus 35 Celtic would have been plus 32..3-0 Celtic would taken it on goals scored.

By the way, I was really impressed by Motherwell. Doubt we have any chance of tempting their manager to League One but would love to see us playing brave, high energy, attacking football like that next season.

Agreed they've been a joy to watch this season.

The Motherwell defender did not gain any advantage as his hand was directly in front of his forehead and the elbow was only at that angle because the Celtic player jumped into him. Very smelly decision to give a penalty

Commentators didnt even know why the VAR check was happening. Was absolutely gobsmaked when it became apparent it was for handball. Scandalous decision.

Was the VAR check for handball? I've only just seen it lol

Unless the guys hand is made of flubber it's clearly come of his head. I assumed it was for the "elbow" which also wasn't a thing. All that should happen there is the Celtic player booked for cheating.

I think it goes on H2H rather than goals scored, which means Celtic would need 4 goals.

Simple - hits hand, penalty..:ph34r::dunno:

Either way, it was very risky to put his hand that up in the first place tbh.

Watch the video mate, instead of looking at the pic. The pic only shows the hand behind the ball, but not touching the ball. The video looked at properly shows the the ball hitting his head. The angle of the pic makes you think the hand is touching the ball

Even if it does hit his hand - it’s in that position because he’s jostling with the Celtic player. He’s not moved his hand towards the ball or gained any advantage from it as the trajectory hasn’t changed.

Its not much different to when a ball is hit against a hand when the player can’t don anything about it.

The video couldn’t be more clear that the hand played the ball

Does the hand move deliberately to the ball? Yes

Does the hand make the defender’s silhouette bigger? Also yes

Does the hand clearly contact the ball? Again, yes

Either I’m taking crazy pills or nobody understands handball as it’s laid out in Law 12.

This is such a bad advert for Scottish football

It is, because it shows an entire nation of fans do not understand the handball law

Just like us in 2015/16*, this season has bought more eyes on, and talk about the top tier of Scottish football in years and years. I can't see why rigging it in favour of Celtic would be beneficial, even the excuse of taking it to the final day - Hearts winning it even last night would've been the cap off to an injection of life into the league it's been screaming out for. You kill all momentum, at least temporarily, by having the risk of Celtic winning it on the final day.

*I am not comparing Hearts' achievement to us, just to be clear

It isn't but as soon as one of the big clubs get a dodgy decision they scream conspiracy.
