Vardy...v worried..

No, lack of service is what it is.

Too much passive shite behind him, lack of service.

Which is exactly why he should reject an England call up should he get one,

Let's move FORWARD!!!

He is scared of southgate calling him up for England, wasting his time and energy, so therefore he is performing intentionally badly to avoid it.

thought we were pretty poor in general as an attacking force to be fair. can’t really single vardy out today.

defensively we were solid but lacked ........ intensiteee whilst attacking.

Only criticism of him tonight was not cutting on to his right foot and unleashing a shot across Patricio in the first half. An in form Vardy would have done that automatically.

Can’t be worried about Vardys performance tonight surely. Felt sorry for him for most of the game with lack of service. Spent 90 minutes chasing shadows bless him...

He has always scored in patches and this is the first time this season he's in a bad patch. Regardless though he's still a threat and strikes fear into any opposition in world football.

He has never been a consistent 1 in 2 striker even though his strike rate is probably around 1 in 2 in the Premier league. His goals come in clusters, but he adds so much more to us as a team when he's in it.

Not playing particularly well and I still think despite his misses Jimenez had a better game than him tonight, but there's a lack of service - we have a bit of a problem here.

Unfortunately we seem to be playing with the belief that we have much more time on the ball.

Receive ball, take touch, look up, take another touch. Then we pass back or lose the ball.

Basically far too pedestrian and cautious. Any striker needs far quicker transition than we are currently offering. Neither Vardy or Iheanacho will score many with this approach.

Damn that Jamie Vardy! It's not like he's the premier league top goal scorer or anything...

He's not allowed any off games! Just not good enough.

(FT response - but he's been sh*t recently and we have to overreact! And Rodgers who's got us to 3rd in the league (possibly 2nd if Man City are deducted points) is clearly clueless. I mean 2nd or 3rd in the league - not good enough! If only Dave Bassett was still in charge).

Had nowhere to go against the deep and well-drilled Wolves backline. Kelechi’s hold up play would have helped us unlock them.

If he had (an) out and out winger(s) delivering for him (like Adama Traore - unplayable at times) he'd be fine. Neither Barnes or, particularly Perez, are wingers. They then cluster up the middle of the park for Tielemens and Maddison by going inside way more than they show out, as they're not confident that they can win their one on ones, because they aint proper wingers!

The nearest we have to that position at the club is Perreira but he has defending to do too! Maybe give Justin that defensive role and push Perreira further forward to service Vardy more, and free up space in the centre for Maddison. Vardy will get a lot more chances then.
