exactly this!

Its not like HE is making the decisions himself he is being advised by the people in the best position and not by some washed up sportsmen / breakfast TV presenter on Twitter like half of the population seem to be,

You obviously haven't been watching what has happened around Milan have you. Never ,ever ,ever trust what some idiot English "expert" in a suit says about anything.

Too soon.  Football execs going against the advice of the nations top scientists.  The country needs a consistent approach, led by government and not individual organisations making it up as they go along.

The season is now over.  This will carry on throughout the summer and well into autumn, possibly beyond.  Zero chance that the season can be played out now.

What a mess.

The top Italian scientists would say they are talking crap.

Play the fixtures into the summer, delay the start of next season, bin the nations league and play the Euros next summer instead. Maybe finally get rid of those awful international breaks in the Autumn to make way for a later start to the season.

Those “awful” international breaks are when the Asians, Africans, South and North Americans play their continental and WC qualifiers.

Just to cheer you up , the less virulent Spanish Flu infected 6million British people and killed a quarter of a million of them. Football can wait.

Think the abject horror of a World War rather took our attention elsewhere

And what makes our nations top scientists any better than many other nations top scientists who have a different view?

There is no such thing as a trustworthy politician , not on this planet anyway and probably not on any other.

On-the-field, while we only get Maddison back fully-fit (Ricardo unfortunately will still be out), our closest rivals for CL places will likely have all of their currently-injured players back for the final run-in.

That means, for example, Kante, Pulisic and Abrahams for Chelsea, Pogba and Rashford for Man Utd, and even Spurs (perhaps not a CL place rival) will nonetheless have the likes of Kane and Son back for their home fixture against us.

Lots suggesting we finish the league in the summer. Just wondering how the transfer window would work in this scenario? Opens at the same time but no new players can be registered? Does Hakeem Ziyech (or anyone else on a pre-contract) still play for Ajax until the season is over? Or is he just not allowed to finish the season. Jeez this is complicated

R.I.P. Foxes Talk.

No chance. Sitting indoors and talking shite on the internet is what this place was made for and what we're all best at. Site traffic will go through the roof. Mark is gonna make a mint of advertising!

You can't cancel the season: that punishes the sides currently in the Top 4, the champions elect, and the sides getting promoted.

You can't finish it prematurely and use the current table: teams in relegation/promotion/european place battles would be in uproar.

You can't limp through and play the games anyhow: that puts players, staff and fans at risk, and compromises the integrity of the competition, with sides playing against severely weakened opposition.

The only option is to postpone and somehow finish the season at a later date.

Match of the Day will be an online computer challenge between Sean F. E. and Babylon.

Why not keep the rest of the season but have one player from each club be the team who they represent on xbox, so Vardy represents Leicester vs a player from the opposing team and they are both in isolation booths. so no risk of contact and the fans could all watch online from the comfort of their homes.

I'm not saying they are, but just because we're different, doesn't mean we're wrong. The best approach will be unknown until this thing goes away and mortality rates can be confirmed and compared, which will be months and months.
