Pleased this will hopefully be done by the end of the week, it gives the club time to look at potentially one more option in forward/attacking midfield areas if they can shift Gray.

Schmeichel

Fofana Evans Söyüncü

Ricardo Ndidi Tielemans Castagne

Maddison

Vardy Barnes

We've never had a side without an obvious weakness like that one. Throw in the quality of Justin, Mendy, Praet, Perez, Iheanacho, Ünder, experience of Fuchs, Morgan, Albrighton. That doesn't even mention Choudhury or Amartey, or the youngsters who may stay like Thomas and Dewsbury-Hall.

The club have been took their time, struck quickly and quietly, and got three quality targets who have been well-scouted and look good from the outside. It's going to be a good season.

That's probably the best squad we've EVER had. Maybe the only weakness being we don't have a first choice naturally left footed left back / left wing back. But with the players we have and the way they have performed, I don't think we need them. JJ was impressive both offensively and defensively against Man City.

As we all know personal terms were a done deal weeks ago at about £55k a week for five years.

I take it he doesn't have to quarantine given that Edouard Mendy didn't when he moved to Chelsea from Rennes, so just a medical (or six given it's us) required

AS Saint-Étienne reached an agreement on Tuesday evening with Leicester, the current leader of the English Premier League, for the transfer of their defender Wesley Fofana. The amount of this transfer is the largest ever obtained by the club.

The decision to sell the player was taken collegially by the Management Board and the shareholders. ASSE accepted Leicester's exceptional offer, especially given the uncertain economic context caused by the health crisis. In addition, even if it presented, for the 2019-2020 financial year and for the tenth consecutive year, a positive financial result, the club sees for the moment its room for maneuver considerably reduced by the consequent commitments made in as part of his previous sports project, in 2018, 2019 and until the beginning of summer 2020.

Trained at the club and winner of the Gambardella Cup 2019, Wesley Fofana revealed himself last season, under the direction of Claude Puel. It is indeed with the General Manager of ASSE, appointed head of the Greens in October 2019, that he has made spectacular progress, thus establishing himself at the highest level. Last season, Wesley Fofana played 14 matches in Ligue 1 Uber Eats, 6 in the Coupe de France, including the final against PSG, 2 in the Coupe de la Ligue and 2 in the UEFA Europa League. At only 19 years old, he is now considered one of the greatest French talents of his generation.
