So was Khan right all along?

Cos the Tories/govt will be thinking very carefully how to paint this bunch showing themselves up. Label them Far Right solves the problem in some way but harms their support.

Khan was criticised for using the term far right by people citing ‘that’s centre’ or ‘normal morning. Well if it’s normal or centre what’s happening now, attacking police then it’s horrific.

Confused. Are you suggesting the far right and the Conservative party are in some way related?

My worry is that the actions seen in the tweet posted will get nowhere near as much airtime and traction as what last week did. And therein lies the very obvious problem :(

I’m suggesting those in attendance today are most likely to have voted Tory at the last election.

Govt will be expected to comment on their behaviour - if they label it has a minority of extremists, it saves reputation.

And a far left socialist in the UK would probably vote Labour, fairly shabby rhetoric mate. Not sure further division is a point anyone needs right now.

Time to move to a matriarchal society lads, we have had a good innings, but let’s let the ladies have a go.

That would never work. Once a month for a few days we'd be out with the water cannon firing at anyone who dared to even look at us, the rest of the month would be spent gossiping over a few bottles of wine

Embarrassment the lot of them, and using 'football' as some sort of common ground makes me sick too, don't want to be associated with them at any level.

Last weekend gives them a ready made excuse and some sort of justification in their minds.

Be great if the media could just ignore them and not give the attention they crave.

Better a water cannon than an actual rifle. Plus think how well our vineries would be doing.

I’ve not seen it in the 20 odd years I’ve been going but Maybe you have had different experiences

That is correct.  Our fans are some of the worst in my opinion.

There are people on this forum who have witnessed me being racially abused by football fans

What we have in London today is probably on the whole two sets of people who misunderstand the message, and really are going for a bit of a scrap. Neither of the more extreme members of each side will like the cops and neither will like each other. So it’s a great excuse for them to kick off and cause a scene. Seeing rotund old men running around in their flat caps and XXL Fred Perry’s throwing bottles of piss at the cops isn’t exactly a true representation of what any level headed person would do. It’s essentially a royal rumble today.

We’ve seen that the more peaceful of the protesters have withdrawn action this weekend to avoid such incidents. Either was the scenes of potential impending violence does nothing but harm the cause.

There is just not an ounce of common sense between them. Not even sure what they are aiming to achieve? Is Tommy there or has he just lit the flame and let them too it while he sits at home watching.

I'm going to have to ignore the internet today because its going to ruin my day. *****.
