I just want a good performance and a proper shift from the lads.

I've pretty much given up on us getting CL at this point for my own sanity, I just want us to give our everything so that we can at least be proud of how we finished.

I gave up CL hope about 4 games ago.
Mainly for my own mental health.
It’s the hope that kills me. I get all up for it and then they let constantly me down.

I feel like an RSPCA dog. Battered. Wounded. But I’ll never stop loving them.

Learnt today that Maddison has just moved into a big house In Nottingham.

Slightly closer to Manchester 😄

Really strange choice for him, all his family are in Cov and he plays and trains in the centre of Leicester. The picture he posted on instagram today of him and Chilwell is from his apartment he had/used to have in Leicester.

West Bridgford area so not too far from new training ground.

I thought it was the centre of Leicester at first glance and then he followed it up with some leicester landscape gardening post that he's having done. Probably ties in with him buying a new gaff in Nottingham then.

You guys digress lol. Couldn’t care less where Maddison lives or the size of his mansion although suprising he could find anything in Leicesteshire!

I’m all spent on the forumns have to switch off now until Sunday. It’s too much anxiety otherwise won’t get sod all done in the house.

see you lot then and hopefully it’s a bloody good day for the Foxes and Wolves.

I think we will win 1-0. We need to keep it tight for as long as possible. Vards need to be on top form. We've got to be aware of the soft manulty aswell. Don't give the ref the choice of giving it!

Crock Fernandes on the half-way line with a sneaky leading foot in the opening minutes - got it. :brendan:

We are not as much as a shambles as Chelsea defensively and their back 4 is full strength.

More to the point, who the fook is Steve Nicol and why does anyone care what he thinks?

My understanding is that because Liverpool finally won the premier league (in a year so shit that 2 horribly inconsistent sides with relegation form for large portions of it can battle it out final day for a top 4 space with both sets of fans having zero faith in their own shite team, and unbelievably still both dribble over the line into top 4 with a shitty point each due to the other side being even worse and losing).....

And due to that MASSIVE achievement, this fat ****ing no marks opinions are deemed relevant, alongside that of Jan ****ing molby {who unbelievably actually has more credibility!)

And apart from that, errr....?!?!

When was the last time we went into the last game of the season with something riding on the result ? Was it the Forest game which we won 3-2 ?

Rodgers is too nice. He needs to become more of a **** if hes ever going to be a success. You very rarely get anywhere being nice. That's why he flops on all the big games, too much respect. Sometimes you have to be an arrogant shit.

For all of his niceness, I'm pretty sure being an arrogant shit is not something that hasn't been laid at his door.

The problem is that being perfectly fine with a draw, there's no reason for United to indulge us by allowing us to sit back and hit them on the counter.  It could indeed be an odd, stilted sort of game unless and until it gets to the hour mark and the results from Stamford Bridge show we need the win.

Don't give them a choice.

Boot it long and make the ****ers run, then try and pass it round while we sit back, get a toe in... Then boot it long....

Rinse and repeat.

Just joined the forum, timely as a Manchester United fan looking to amicably discuss with other fans on forums!

May I ask how you guys are feeling towards the big fixture on Sunday? Ideally we are in a stronger position but the way we've struggled against Southampton, Palace, West Ham and Chelsea, I really don't know anymore. Vardy and Barnes are in particular are huge threats.

I dont think anyone in the broader football community is expecting us to win. Indifferent form and 6 players out. But it exactly that that could help us to win just like it did against Sheffield United. Our home form hasn't been too bad with 3 defeats in the last 22 games I think and that includes defeats to Liverpool and Man City. Also I feel a draw will be enough as Chelsea will lose to Wolves.

Hi  :welcome:

It's pretty obvious that both teams can attack very well.

Given our injuries and Soyuncu's ban, we hope we can defend on Sunday.

We are all a bit wary of United's massive penalty count and also our team has been on the rough end of some awful referee decisions this season.

United will spend squillions and be up there in years to come anyway.  For us, this is a once in a long time chance to play with the elite.

Would quite like Chelsea to be 5 goals down at half time and both teams in our game to be stroking it about for a less than fiercely contested draw.

It will more likely be frantic, though.

See my comment right above yours for.my thoughts

Just got a feeling it's going to be an edgy, boring and overall poor game.

Technically we've got nothing more to lose, we go into the game with everything to gain. There's 2 sides of realism to this for me. Realistically no one expected us to be top 4 at the start of the season, most would have expected us to be there or there abouts for top6/7. We've achieved our goal, to get European football, and can actually go into the game quite relaxed. In the flip side the realism is that we were top 4 and had been for 90% of the season, right up until it mattered. Not only have we just lost that position, we also threw away a 14 point lead to end up where we are.

But my 1st point about the realism of the situation is how we have to go into the game. We have nothing to lose, relax, we are where we want to be and put the onus of you boys to get your game right. And I do think there is an element of pressure on Ole to do that.

We know what we need to do, win. You boys just need not to lose, that can be a more dangerous thought process.

I'm kinda glad in a way that we're the chasers in that respect. I'd feel very uncomfortable if we were a point or 2 ahead going into this game.

I think most of us, while disappointed with how the season has ended for us, gave up on champions league a few games ago. I for one, am not too bothered what happens Sunday anymore.

I tell you now though, come kickoff on Sunday I'll be sat in my lucky shirt completely bricking it lol

Would be funny to see 20 outfielders around the centre circle playing cards or something.
