I honestly believe Fulham still have a chance.

6 points isn't insummountable at all. I've been more impressed with them than Newcastle this season, when I've watched them.

Villa game moved to 2.05pm for scheduling reasons.

Not heard of that before? What do Sky have on before our game that might overrun?

Have we had a 3pm Saturday kick off this season??? The one thing I can't wait for next season, maybe even more than crowds back in stadiums is normal footballing schedules. Also it's good to see who actually dictates our schedule. Not the club. Not the PL. Sky, that well know footballing authority. Makes me sick tbh.

I think us playing a lot on a Sunday is more down to our participation in the Europa League on a Thursday night rather than TV companies dictating.

Jordan Pickford is paid about £100 too much.

Shocking that Hudson-Odoi and Clyne are on that list.

lol Brighton wasting 90k a week on perma-crocked past it Lallana is hilarious.

Agreed. £100,060 is much more reasonable!

Chilwell must have at least quadrupled his weekly wage, was he on more than £47500 / week with us?

Ben’s agent played a blinder ...... he shouldn’t be on more than 150k - over five years that extra £12 m should have been on the fee not in chilly’s pocket ...

Some players on there are way overpaid. How did sick note Adam Lallana secure himself a 3 tear contract on 90k a week.

Callum Hudson Odoi, Mason Mount, Reece James and Jared Bowen has done nothing to be on the contract they're on. Chelsea are giving stupid contracts to their younger players.

West ham chucking nearly 100k a week on someone from championship crazy. What was madders on when we signed him 30k.

West Ham pull these stupid stunts now and again. If we signed Bowen he would be on £40k a week. If you want a large contract with little pressure to deliver on the pitch go to West Ham.

A 3 year contract as well. Stupidity at the highest level.

All of those are genuinely ridiculous, they're definitely not value for money at the present time. Bowen came from the Championship FFS, and they've stuck him on close to 100k? I hope for their sake that's an error in the articlelol

Look at the wages Chilwells now on, no wonder he left, any of us would have done the same.

Dean Henderson's agent pulled a blinder to! 100k a week for about 6 games a season.

I don't want to see it but can see Chilwell being in a similar position to Drinkwater. Tunchel obviously isn't a massive fan / he doesnt fit their new system and 190k a week to play the odd cup game is a hell of a lot.

Chilwell and Maguire wages are obscene.

Same for Hudson-Odoi.

Chilwell and Maguire went for big fees and thus were likely to get big inflated wages. Hudson Odoi is the strangest one. I get that he was heavily linked with Bayern but how are Chelsea giving a 20 year old with a handful of Premier League games such a big contract.

I can't believe that Bowen would have been able to command those wages coming from a good season in the Championship with Hull!?

Old fashioned I guess but I really think those figures should be yearly pay, not WEEKLY ffs.

Absolutely bloody ridiculous.

It's elite sport and is a free market.

In all the big sports athletes earn big money - basketball, American football, baseball,  etc...

It's pretty clear why. The club's have huge revenues, based on their global appeal and technology allowing them to broadcast globally.

How do clubs compete? The players that are on the pitch therefore their salaries are always going to increase as revenues increase.

In free business I don't see how anyone can expect it to be any different. It will only change if people suddenly become no longer interested in football which isn't going to happen.

Some of them you can understand but Clyne should be on about half of that.
