You’re right, it’s probably agent talk more than anything, but he will be demanding those numbers if and when he does leave AC Milan, and for a player who is 25 and hasn’t won anything is ridiculous.

That being said, he is a free agent in the summer so that gives him incredible negotiating power. He knows that any team would have to pay a huge fee to buy a keeper of that quality so knows he can ask for high wages as teams will give it to him. Players like Ramsey are a good example of this.

@The Bear-- I’ve been meaning to ask you about Nelson Semedo.

I expected he must be the second coming.  Just the assumption that the guy keeping Ricardo out of the Portugal XI must be a superstar.  (and of course because ... Barcelona)

I’ve watched him several times now and -- he looks like just another fullback.  IMO he’d be at the far end of our bench.

Am I missing something?  What’s the take from Wolves fans?

Apparently Branford tweeted that they were robbed of a draw and that var was responsible.....bizarre !

he was offside.... the lino gave him offside .......var was irrelevant cos he was offside and given offside on pitch

whilst var has a lot of fair criticism, when players incorrectly diss it on social media, they should be held accountable

Yeah there wasn't really any contentious point about his offside. He was proved to be offside and was quite clear with the replays. Probably didn't even need the lines.

Open and entertaining Leeds - 18 shots, 7 on target.

Cagey pragmatic Wolves - 15 shots, 5 on target.

24 games for Leeds, 43 goals conceded. Only West Brom have conceded more. Yeah they've scored 40 goals and run about a lot, but it hasn't gotten them anywhere because of their dreadful defensive record. Its like someone treading water with their legs going a million miles an hour under the water.

TBF they've just come up and are working with what they've got. They're not the first team to be open and expansive to the detriment of their defense. It's basically what Liverpool were doing before they spent big on van Dijk. They're a good watch for a neutral and play some great football at times, that's all I care about. Bielsa has the team punching well above their weight. He doesn't deserve all the praise piled on him imo but tbh I'd rather him, a new manager in the PL with a largely Championship team than the usual names like Pep' and Klopp. Managers with huge finances. They probably should have won last night or at least got a draw out of it. Wolves are kinda dull tbh. Mostly speculative long shots (one fluky rebound off the keeper gets Wolves the win lol). Traore is awful. Just can't stand him. Goes on pointless runs with the ball. And for his muscle goes down from the slightest touch. I see him as a warning sign for Barnes (who is already better than Traore) to not rest on the progress he's already made and kick on into the next level.

The only thing Leeds fans (or players) had to really moan about with the offside is Wolves kept pulling and grabbing players so they couldn't drive forward or pass. The ref didn't seem to pick up on any of it or he could have at least yellow carded a few players in retrospect. Given how often he gave Wolves cheap free kicks for mostly nothing I'd have been a bit annoyed at that. But yeah he was off side. Good finish though.

He's been a bit suspect defensively, but going forwards he's had Traore in front of him and has struggled to make an impact with no room to work with. Until last night that is, as Traore and Neto have switched sides now, both cutting inside more often. This has given Semedo lots of space to run into with his pace and last night was his best game for us yet. He should have scored one of his chances. We'll see if it continues but I'm hopeful he'll have more influence from now on.

I'm loath to criticise him too much any way as this is an odd season and players don't always settle into a new country or team as instantly as the fans often expect them to. Especially given the current situation where they can't socialise with each other, which is a big thing at Wolves.

Apparently James has asked if he can go at the end of the season, he wants to be back in Spain.... Everton’s big spending plans always go to shit.

They are now linked to other big names (like rabiot)  .....no surprise James doesn’t like the scouse weather (surprised a season in Bavaria didn’t prepare him)

I think a wet cold Bavaria is very different to a wet and cold Liverpool lol

His desire to leave is probably less to do with the weather and more to do with being fed up of playing in a team with the artistic impression of Burnley.  Four centre backs, full backs on the wing and the likes of Tom Davies in midfield is quite a comedown from Bayern and Real.

It is, and he's obviously a fantastically talented player, but if you look at his playing record, in terms of number of games over his career its not great. Be it from injury or being out of favour, at 29 he's not clocked up an a lot of games. It's why he's ended up at a team like Everton, a team who like to mop up a big name with some kind of flaw, and spend big on it, whilst neglecting the rest of the squad. He really needs to just put a shift in somewhere, like Everton, play a decent number of games, and then maybe he can play his last few years somewhere decent again.

Interesting, not sure who outside the big 3 will pay his wages, not sure any of the big 3 would want him. Be interesting to see where he ends up.

I really don’t understand how Everton sustain their spending. I know that they are bankrolled by billionaires and they can afford it in that respect, but surely some sort of FFP would kick in if they did qualify for Europe.

They spend like a rich six club, but don’t have anything like the revenues to match. They’re closer to us than they are the likes of Arsenal and their neighbours in Manchester and Liverpool.

It never looked like a natural move- not surprised it could well end after one season.

On the Leeds thing, they are entertaining to watch but you wonder if teams will adapt their game against them next season and play more of a counter-attacking game. It's tough to sustain a team comfortably with a leaky defence so I'm sure Bielsa will look at that.

As crazy as it may sound do you think De Bruyne and Aguero coming back may hurt Man City. I reckon their good form has been largely due to the current team working hard for each other and everyone offering options for each other. Will Man city just offer the ball to De Bruyne when he comes back and rely on Aguero to put away chances.

Sort of get your point, but I doubt Man City’s form will hugely dip, having one of the best midfielder’s back in the world tbf
